No bursts of heat for me. The tea or a hot meal does help a lot. I've had to lay down under the heated blanket midday to reheat my body. I've had a few crying jags over this coldness. I'm in Florida...and I'm an icecube!
I wear white PolarMax thermals and light weight sweater to bed. Top that with my pink hat and I don't know how DH is even interested. The heated blanket "stops" him from coming over to my side of the bed...it's usually on #3... sometimes #6.
