Update on Shawn - IT'S A GIRL!!!

Today our beautiful December mommy delivered a beautiful baby girl. Sydnie Claire (I hope I spelled it right) was born at 4:58 pm and weight 6.2lbs. She is absolutely beautiful and Shawn did just wonderful during the entire labor and delivery. I am truly blessed and thankful that I was able to be a part of this memorable and special event. Shawn is every bit as wonderful as you can imagine and her new daughter is absolutely perfect. I posted a few pictures of the baby on my profile for you guys to see.

She's gorgeous, and doesn't look at all like she's "tiny". =) Glad you could make it up there Terisa to be with Shawn.

She may not look tiny in the pictures, but she really is a little thing. I am glad I could make it up there too.

Thank you so much, Terissa...it is such a blessing that you were able to be there to help Shawn and Sydnie. And thank you for carrying along the love and prayers of all of us here and then sharing the photos with us. Wow...she is an absolute miracle! Is Shawn doing ok now? Are they still worried about those iron levels or will she be ok now that she has delivered? I will still keep her in my prayers. HUGS!!! Molly T E R I S A < < <

The reason her iron levels were so low was because of the pregnancy so I am sure that she will be fine now. I can tell you that her color looked a lot better after she delivered. She is really doing great and her labor went very well. Absolutely no complications and she delivered fairly quickly for her. They did not have to induce her. Her water broke early this morning. Later in the morning she was given drugs to help move thins along since she was not doing too much at that time. Once she got the drugs she started to move along quit well. She told me she is usually kind of mean during labor, but she was an absolute sweetheart the whole time.

I had such a nice visit with her when she was in the hospital a few months ago and she seems like such a sweet person, I can't imagine her being mean. What a relief to know that her color was looking better already after delivering. Must have made for a very, very exciting day for you! Hugs for you too!!! Molly

No, no...by 'nice visit' I mean we had a nice phone conversation. It would have been great to go see her but from Spokane, Washington it wouldn't have been possibe for me. Molly
