Hmmm... PMS.. but where's the . ?
ROFL.. my husband told me two nights ago, "Um, we need to get you some chocolate..." And he let it go at that. I think he knew this last week was bad when he saw me walk by with a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich.. then later, I strolled by with a Carb Control chicken quesadilla.. and then a little later, half a peanut butter and banana sandwich.. all on the same night!
If it's not ran, hidden, or grown mold.. I've ate it this week! I even bought regular peanut butter filled Easter M&M's, not peanut.. but peanut butter. Luckily, I foisted most of the bag off on my co-workers, and just got the "craving" gone! I hit 156 on Weds, and as of today I'm back down to 151, and dropping still.
I'm in the process of making more mint cucumbers. I added lemon infused olive oil, with a touch of lemon pepper to them, and a splash of apple cider vinegar, they are marinating now. I'm in the process of thawing out mixed berries to top off SF cheesecake pudding with, just finished my hard boiled eggs for tuna salad, and I'm looking to make egg drop soup (with tofu), to take over these dang cravings!! Gotta thaw some chicken and grill it. I could probably eat 2-3lbs of chicken a day, if I could get away with it. So love the stuff.
Top it all off, and the almond trees are in bloom. I look like Captain Ron, minus the stupid eye patch. Hate allergy season!!
How was everyone else's weekend? I'm sorting the Tupperware in the kitchen I inherited from mom. If a lid doesn't match .. it's going in the trash.
Cm'on.. confession is good for the soul.. tell me about it...
It's going around, sister! I ate three sf ice cream bars today! Eating chicken marsala (recipe from Eggface's blog) right now and baby is it divine! I cooked up a batch of her pizza bites and a batch of her spinach feta bites for next week's eats. Also some big old portabellas w/feta broiled into the caps. Wish I hadn't eaten up all my cucumbers, now I want some of them too after reading about yours.
Too bad about your allergies, I can imagine the almond trees flowering must be a real treat for the eyes as well as the smeller. I'm tempted to cut some apple tree branches to bring in the house for forciing but hate to cut my 'crop' short.
Been busy with laundry today in between all the cooking and am slowly getting caught up, just in time for all the dirty loads to come during the week. Didn't get on the treadmill again...what a bad girl!
Hope you have a great week!
Let's see - last week was not too good for me either. Between swiping handfuls of peanut m&m's from a coworkers desk (she's evil, I tell you!!) I was purloining little kit-kat or twix minis from someone else's desk. Then there was the 'good snacking'. 2-4 popcorn cakes with flax seed infuse peanut butter (2 is the norm) along with handfuls of bear naked heavenly chocolate granola, bowls of cereal (cinnamon life and soy milk), pita chips, these cool no fat low sugar twists made out of puff pastry & cinnamon sugar, apple chips, sf cookies, sf fudgcicles. And then I was eating regular food too! I had three good meals - at restaurants. Last night, I had a great dinner (lean pork burger, cheese and pinto beans) - but I got a craving and ate a big bowl of cinn life cereal! Which made me so sick (I don't dump, I just get to feeling AWFUL, and wish I could either vomit or dump) for almost two hours. I am such an idiot...
I know I know, it gets out of control - and honestly I don't know how to curb it. Truthfully I don't want to sometimes. I just want to go along and NOT THINK about what goes into my mouth... but that's what got me here in the first place.
I went and restocked my pantry a little this weekend, but this weekend was very stressful (see my rant I posted about my son). I was resenting the fact that I couldn't just sit down with a dozen chocolate chip cookies and a quart of milk and just cry it all away. Plus we have gone a budget and I can't go buy anything either - and I can't smoke or drink because of my stomach - so there are not outlets except for crying and yelling and then collapsing in a heap on my bed and sleeping it off.
I probably sound fairly pathetic - but it's the truth.

Hi, Heather!
If confession is good for the soul??? Does that include my mini binge on the remainder of the sweet & salty trail mix? I felt like a real jerk afterwards. To make matters worse... guilt set in. I'm still guilty though because I logged the calories in on the next day... so high that I had to split the servings into Breakfast and Snack groups!I tried to keep the rest of that day on the healthy side.
Perhap redemption is good for the soul??? I switched-over to Santa Barbara Mango Salsa with Peach and a few Tostitos. The salsa has only 20 calories per oz and it's packed with flavor. A friend picked it up for me at Costco.
