What did ya eat and how did ya move today? Thursday
Hellllo Gang, happy Thursday! How was your moving and eating today?
For movement today I did 2 miles of mostly running with some sprints and intervals on my treadmill today. I also did upper body training with 10 lb dumbells and some lounges with 5 # weights.. floor resistance exercises and lots of ab work!
For eating..
B: Blueberry Cottage Cheese Pancakes with SF blueberry topping and whip and 1 morning star sausage.
S: SF chai tea latte homeade with 8 oz of light vanilla soy milk.
L: 2 protein pumpkin pies with whip and frosting.
S: 1 cup SF Jello, 1/2 cup raw cauliflower with 1 tbs low fat ranch dressing.
S: EAS Shake
D: 2 cup lettuce, black bean burger, 1 oz low fat mont jack cheese, onion, olives, tomato, 2 tbs black bean salsa, 1 tbsp light sour cream.
S: 1 cup SF Jello and later an EAS Shake
Cals: 1238, fat 37, carbs 111 (eek), fiber 22 (whew), protein 129

Hi! Your eats were great and so happy your scale is behaving. My eats were bad today, I blame it on fatigue. Tried to fight it off and the numbers aren't as bad as they were before the 5DPT but still not where I'd like them. 8 hours at work today on not much sleep for the last few days and a whole lot of stuff going on--too busy!
--nf, sf soy latte
1) 2 pk's protein muffins
2) 1 slice pk's meat crust pizza
3) 1 EAS cafe caramel
--special K prot. plus water
4) bowl of fruit that was about 1 cup canteloupe and 10 grapes
5) 3 of Heather's sf oatmeal cookies
6) 1 slice REAL banana bread (small slice, I used a long skinny pan)
7) 3 oz. low fat cream cheese
calories: 1134
carbs: 114
fats: 39
protein: 82
Going to eat better tomorrow, the fruit will be gone and the leftover treats from last night's meeting are gone. I'll post a note about that, btw.
Just checking in before going to bed early. What I think was bad about the day was that it fell apart when i got home, despite drinking the EAS on the commute. It was a bunch of grazing. (and not the cookies, either...those were listed seprately but eaten with my two meals at work) That fruit was grazed and then the lf cream cheese was eaten talking on the phone with my sister who was upset and needed to vent. To me, that just means emotional grazing and the fruits racked up the carbs too. I was really starting to think that I could try to follow your good example and keep the carbs low. It is going to be such a constant struggle.
For additional 'moves' do my pt exercises count? They are mainly stretching and isometrics but my legs are sore and tired from doing it after a long day at work too.
Made another batch of PK's meat crust pizza and have them all portioned out. I think I'll be eating a lot of pumpkin muffins and 'pizza' in the next few days. Going to be working this weekend and need the homemade convenience foods. That and my turkey meatballs! (Still don't have room in the fridge yet to thaw the big turkey!)

Well you may have "grazed" but the numbers in the end aren't that bad at all.. you are doing very well As for lowering the carbs, I almost always end up around 100 these days no matter what it seems.. 80 is about as low as it gets which I am not too upset about as long as I am working out. Once I am in maintenance again (argh) then I need them up in the 100-120's area I would think. My protein is always sky high.. when I work out its always nearing 120 these days.. no joke. Not sure if its good but so far I haven't had any stones and I drink lots of fluids.. so I think im ok.. my kidney studies are fine and my protein is in the middle of normal if you can believe it even with all I get in!
You moves do count.. remember.. your RMR is no less than 1300 prolli more like 1400-1700 like me and that is just to live and breath.. no activity at all.. doesn't count walking around, showering, working, moving at all... exercise, nothing. So you are still at a calorie deficit where u are at and will eventually still lose on this amount.. it may not be overnight but you will in the end lose on this.. I firmly believe that. Also with your exercise you need more calories.. im striving for 1200ish.. my scale has been going downwards on 1200 and even a couple days with treating low blood sugars i got up to 1500 and it still goes down.. don't beat yourself up, you are doing really well... prolli not getting in enough! I know it sounds crazy but when i was gaining I was eating 3k worth of calories minimally.. i deserved it. When I was at 1800 i was maintaining..

1 1whole egg 2 egg whites(by the way molly i so hear you with the real egg verses the egg sub never make that mistake again)
2 4 oz canned tuna 1 tablespoon FF Mayo1 whole egg and 1/2 egg white boiled
3 4 oz pan seared chicken captain D's side salad w/ one pouch of FF T. Marzettis Raspberry vinaigrette and 1 oz of Ranch dressing
4 4 oz cod baked with parmesean and romono cheese 2 cups salad 1/2 pouch FF T. Marzettis Raspberry vinaigrette and 1/2 oz of Ranch dressing

Ok now for my screwups i had a HOHO(in my entire lifetime i have eaten litterally 10) now my mouth is like a magnetic force field for HOHO's and then i had a serving of reduced fat vanilla wafers. Be Brutal i know i crapped out tomorrow will be better.
Well you numbers are good even without the hoho and wafers.. I bet your carbs weren't over 80.. so all in all.., great job! I will not come down on you.. if you only knew my screw ups boy would I be calling the kettle black! You are doing awesome.. now forget about the hoho.. forget about the wafers.. this is a crucial moment for you.. do not let those two LITTLE things destroy the bigger picture.. its a MINUTE mistake in the grand scheme of things and easy to just move on and foggetaboutit! Get back on the horse and go on with Day 4 of the pouch test tomorrow.. you can do it!!!! keep up the excellent work, it will pay off!

Thanks Melissa it is so silly i don't know what the deal is with the stupid HOHO's i rarely give them a second glance at the grocery store and then i here in the last week i have had 3 and then i had will my self to not buy any tonight it is so crazy i really don't even like them i think its a chocolate thing i have really bad PMS right now i don't know what i could have been thinking starting this oh well perhaps help me with self control oh and get this tomorrow i have a stupid pampered chefs party to go to get that so ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Oh girl I hear u with the chocolate and PMS thing! Wow we are up late lol.. anyway.. get the SF jello pudding cups.. they have even double chocolate and add some FF rhedi whip and SF choc syrup on top and a few sprinkled chopped pecans.. yum.. or SF fudgesickles or double carmel crunch atkins protein bars (very chocolatey!) or Pure protein chocolate or chocolate/peanut butter bars.. or EAS choc fudge ready to drink protein shakes.
These items keep in check with PMS.. hang in there!
