Hi All... ok no more hiding. I am back and doing the 5DPT... yes again. I have some serious weight gain this time post cruise and its time to get down to business again. Once and for all this time! I hope all of you are doing well, I have missed the support the past few weeks while I was away and glad to be back with my "family". I have wondered how all of you were doing often. I praised you guys over and over on my cruise and told them I honestly didn't "miss OH" while I was gone other than the december board.. You guys are just the best support anyone could ever have post RNY.. I love our family! So what did ya do for exercise today? Me nothing... I woke up from working last night and made my split pea soup for my 5dpt today and honestly nothing more. I am just beat from the weekend. Tomorrow I am going to see my counselor (god help her.. she has her work cut out for her tomorrow! haha) and then to the gym.. i can't wait, I have been absent from there so long!!! So today was my "pre 5dpt" day.. Today should be day 1 but I am making tomorrow my official day 1 since I didn't have a full day of this liquid thing. I enjoy the liquid days as hard as it is to believe.. maybe I should just do more shakes as meal replacements more often? Then I worry they won't fill me up.. the one thing I do notice is they keep my hunger at bay b/c no blood sugar spiking! B: Choc Fudge EAS premade 11oz shake. S: 1 cup SF Jello L: 1 cup split pea soup with 1 piece of crumbled bacon and a drizzle of low fat mont jack cheese and tbsp of light sour cream (don't you love how this is for a liquid diet? and its on the list? just as is.. bacon, cheese and all... hmmm) I did include it last time once a day for pre day, 1 and 2 and lost fine. Keeps me sain b/c its FILLING! S: Arctic Frap Gourmet Whey Protien shake with SF Kahlua added for interest and 8 oz of light van soy milk and ice blended together. S: 1 cup SF Jello D: Will be another Shake of some sort blended with soy milk. S: a extra large decaf vanilla nut (type of coffee.. no sugar) over ice with spelnda and a splash of soy milk (2 oz) and some vanilla SF syrup.. good way to get a bunch of fluid in a tasty way! Cals 911, fats 28, carbs 59, protein 13, protein 105. I feel my preday was a success! How was your day! I missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! **HUGS**

Thanks Molly! I have really missed all of you! I hear the pumpkin sausage soup is devine but could not talk hubby into it.. (rats) do you love it the the others? I am also drinking water with lemon in it between meals b/c i want to rid of the salt.. its a natural diuretic. Nice and cleansing on the palate too. I look forward to sharing this experience with you this week. I really need to get back on track.. I think you lattes will be fine. I did them last time.. worked out great.

The pumpkin soup is really good but there's no way I'll ever make it again unless I'm on the 5dpt....way too many calories and too much fat! Same goes for the ham and cheese soup. You can't even detect any pumpkin in that soup...my husband wouldn't even try it because he knew about the pumpkin, what a brat. It mostly tastes like the breakfast sausage, honestly! If you like that flavour, you'll love that soup is what it amounts to. This has been interesting so far! I've had a really (physically) hard day at work and even though my calories tally up pretty high I have actually felt really light-headed and dizzy at times. The Emergen-C didn't help either, I think it made it worse. Was a little nervous driving home but obviously made it just fine and now have had another cup of soup (this time my own veggie soup pureed with soy protein powder added). I've had plenty of other days when I've done all liquids and never felt this way before, I'm wondering if I've just had too much protein today. Or maybe it was just that fatty soup. My ears are ringing now. It will be a good day to go to bed early! LOL The latte tasted so wonderful this morning, I know I will savor it again tomorrow. Your lemon water sounds good! I found a recipe on Sparkpeople for 'spa water' which is water and cucumber slices and thought that might be tasty these first two days but I'm just too darned cold to contemplate it! Molly

Omigosh, I'm such a dork. Just entered today's 'drinks' (they're not 'eats'!) in Sparkpeople and the calories are lower than i thought they'd be but the carbs are *nowhere* near my normal astronomical levels. So...DUH!...it is the lack of carbs I'm feeling.
