Sugar in Chicken Broth???
You probably already knew this, but it was news to me this morning: canned chicken broth has sugar in it. WHY???? I'm at Wally World shopping for grocery supplies to do the Five Day Pouch Test with Diana and needed a lot of chicken broth. First of all it is hard to find any without MSG or nitrates. So then I look at the organic, supposedly healthy stuff and it has sugar in it. Sheesh!
So I came home with a big chicken and I'm just making my own like I usually do. Normally, every time I cook a chicken or turkey I save the bones and make my own broth and freeze it. Well, it is all used up hence the shopping trip.
This 5DPT is really testing my shopping skills. I NEVER buy Spam, never buy full-fat meat products or cheeses anymore and it was hard to force myself to do it. So weird.
Sorry, that's my rant for the morning. On the plus side of shopping....they had a bunch of their long-sleeved winter tops on clearance and I picked up five more for $6 and under each and they are spring colors. Warmth, light colors and cheap...I love it!

I actually started this morning and I have NO idea if I will make it or not. I had a protein drink for breakfast and went and bought some of at GNC and had one for lunch and can I say I AM HUNGRY..and no it is not head hunger
WHY did I start today...
I got on the scale this morning and I am now UP 7 pds!! I will be the first to say I was not good this weekend but to be up another 3 pds. I was not that bad!!
I have been working out and drinking water. I honest to gosh could have CRIED!!!

Diana, You hang in there. The first two days sound just awful. Are you going to have any of the Special K2O water packets? They might help your hunger. I'm definitely doing the first day on my long, hard day at work so that I will be away from home and not tempted by my own fridge so much. But I am sort of a plan freak and have to have everything ready to go so the soups have to be made and portioned out and the protein drinks all lined up for me. Maybe it's a little OCD but it works. haha
Gonna get on the treadmill now and then debone the chicken and get the broth going further. Sure hope to be ready to start mine tomorrow!

Remember Diana.. you shouldn't be hungry on this plan. If you are then have some protein shakes or make a SF pudding/protein combo or get some SF jello down you.. drink lots of fluids between. I plan to make some SF jello jigglers if I need to "chew" maybe that would help. Yes they are thicker than regular jello but chews down the same.. helps with the chew factor I think.
