I am glad I tried as I have been so on it today. It is either eat right or dont eat at all so I realize I need to be more accoutable to what I am shoving in my mouth. This is sooo hard. I have to say I went into this not realizing it was going to be this hard. (I am not saying I would have done it, just saying I "always" thought it was taking the easy way out..AND THERE IS NOTHING EASY ABOUT IT) Good luck. Hugs Diana

Good for you, glad you had a good day! Are you looking forward to the egg and tuna tomorrow? It was fun reading how Melissa enjoyed her egg when she did it the first time and I've read posts from other people who had the same reaction. Honestly the only thing about this whole plan that has me scared is the chicken day. I always, always, always suffer painfully trying to eat chicken that has not been turned into a slider food with some sort of sauce. The firm meat day has me shakin' in my boots. I think that will be the day I have a starvation headache.

Hi Diana... I am right there with you.. starting the 5DPT again today now that I have woken up. I can help you sweetie.. I have spent many hours researching the "ins and outs" of it. I have been distant on this board with being so busy and totally ashamed of my weight gain. Girls.. I am up way over my lowest, I won't even state it. That cruise and all my "anticipation" eating and post eating while PK was here.. I lost myself.. totally. I feel horrible too, literally with myself as I can't even fit in my lowest size pants.. its killing me. So lets do this girlfriend.. enough pitty parties for myself! As for pudding.. I did do 1/2 cup of pudding each day (4 oz) the last time I did it. But I found that really we should stay away from pudding if possible b/c of the carb content. We are trying to "detox" carbs. So honestly you "can" but they suggest you leave out other items to be most successful. Basically day 1 is protein drinks made low carb (I use soy milk, if you like milk, try using 4 oz with 4 oz of water to bring the carb count down) or if you are one of those weird souls who can do drinks mixed with water.. u go girl! Haha.. I cannot. If you do decide to do SF pudding or yogurt (better to do these then go off plan IMO) then mix some protein powder in it.. so you have a "balanced" snack.. Otherwise.. just protein drinks, SF jello, broth or the soups listed on her site. Go to 5daypouchtest.com and I have done the split pea soup and its delish, getting ready to make it now. I limit to once up for dinner each day.. no more honestly. It's high in carbs, good carbs and very gassy so be warned.. take cover! haha.. You can do this diana.. I am also going to respond to Molly's questions.

OK...I made it to 7 and ate a salad with FF dressing and a little taco meat on it. I honestly think I could have made it through the day but I do not think I would have made it through tomorrow. My 14 year old had around 18 BOYS over from swim Saturday night and I have leftover taco stuff and a bunch of lettuce and sooo wanted a taco salad. NO CHIPS or anything..just lettuce and around a 1/4 cup meat with a sprinkle of low fat cheese and FF dressing. I did not even fini**** and I feel like a new women..lol SORRY that I failed on day 1 D

This is NOT failing Diana.. I think you made a healthy choice and if you were gonna go off the 5DPT "plan" then you picked an awesome choice. Low carb, high protein, GOOD JOB.. now.. if u want to continue just get back on track and dismiss that.. keep going. It will not set you back I promise. I am proud of you!
