Happy news for me

Got in to see a PCP on Friday (with the military you pretty much see whoever they have that day...this person is filling in for whoever my actual PCP is these days) and got a review of my overall health concerns. He thinks I'm doing outstanding on my BP management and wants to take me off the med that controls my heart beat so now it will be easier for me to get my heart rate up on the treadmill. WAHOO! One RX down finally!!! That leaves me on just one bp med from the three I started out with before surgery. Whew! Also, I go in for a phyical therapy consult for my knee on the 27th and will hopefully begin working on strengthening the knee instead of doing drug therapy. I am just NOT going to take any anti-inflammatories. Period. If it ends up being surgery then I'll deal with it but I have great faith in PT and know it will work. Till then, the knee is letting me get back on the treadmill to speed walk and as long as it allows that I'll be a happy camper. More fun news...I actually *got* and *recognized* exercise endorphins yesterday! Maybe I got them and never noticed it before. Don't know... All I know is that at a certain point exercising all of a sudden I was in a fabulous mood, felt great and didn't want to quit exercising. (Had to get off the treadmill or pee on it at one point so that pretty much ended it! LOL!) (TMI, sorry!) It lasted for hours and was such a great side benny! Am waiting for my Zune to recharge and then I'll be on the treadmill again today. The sun is shining and I'm ready to burn off some of those 'nibbles' calories from my SIL's party yesterday. Hope you are having a lovely weekend!

Great news Molly!!!!! One more excellent benefit of WLS. You know, I have also noticed that once I start exercising I do not want to stop, the more you do the better you feel and just to think of all the great benefits we get from exercising makes all well worth it.

Definitely! I always had to force myself to exercise before but now I can see that it must have been just a matter of time of getting my health better to really start having fun with it. So glad!
