Hi again! How was your day today? Hope it was good! My Monday is over, so glad! Icky day here and icky eating. Not proud of it...a lot of it ended up being emotional. ...sigh... Knee got worse at work so I don't know if I'll make it onto the treadmill tomorrow. Sure hope so. Started getting a migraine at work so I took an hour of sick leave and came home to lie down with an icepack so that only makes 7 hrs. of exercise and not really good exercise at that since I was limping around and not at my usual pace. Pooh! --nf, sf soy latte 1) homemade tvp prot. bar 2) supposedly sugar free banana bread (You've heard this one before...someone brought it and said 'I made it just for you, sugar free so you can eat it'...then I dump.) 3) 3 oz. chicken, 1/2 cup caulitators 4) bran muffin 5) 1 cup Rice Krispies. 1/2 cup skim milk, 1 1/2 tostada shells, 1/2 cup nsa ice cream(bad eating) 6) plan to eat 2 serv. veggie soup for dinner and 1/2 cup cooked apples calories: 1248 carbs: 161 fats: 37 prot. 79 Numbers are way up from yesterday and if you saw what i ate yesterday it wasn't much so why did I wake up at 135# when I'd been 131# on Sunday? This is the most my weight has EVER fluctuated since either of my wls. Very frustrating!!!! Ok, enough whining. I'll make tomorrow a better day and sure try to get on the treadmill! Molly

Hope that you are feeling better tomorrow, Molly! Doesn't the body finally get to a "set point" after about 3 years of being a certain weight OR is that old thinking? Ro, I think that set point theory probably only applies to un-ops. From what I've read on the graduate board and elsewhere here, the scilia lining the upper part of our intestines that are attached to the stoma begin re-developing around 18 months and that is when we can really start regaining weight if we haven't developed new eating habits. From what I learned with my first failed wls...you use the wls only as a tool to remove the weight. From there on, it is totally up to you and you might as well just forget you had surgery and resign yourself to living life as an obese person in 'recovery' the rest of your life or it WILL COME BACK. With that attitude, I truly no longer stress about my pouch getting 'stretched' like you read so many people panicking about. If we have all read Pouch Rules For Dummies then we remember the ending where the surgeon works with a patient who had big regain. Simply by getting her to go back to following the Pouch Rules she lost her weight. So to my way of thinking, we can't let ourselves forget those rules. Where *I* really, really, really stress is worrying about grazing. That's definitely against the rules and so destructive. PS...'The Set Point Diet' is another one of those gifts I got years ago from my MIL. It was a really good program but of course, didn't work for me.

Ouch! I'm so sorry to hear about your hip. That has happened to me a few times in the past and I remember how much it hurt. Do you have some good meds to help with the pain? Hope so! Hope that you are feeling better today and were able to get up and around. Hugs! Molly
