New (to me) Low Carb Show

I've qui****ching as much tv as I used to pre-op bt every so often I find a good show I'd missed like today. On a PBS-type station (Create) there was a show just ending but it looked great so I checked out the website and they have some great sounding recipes. Good sounding chicken recipes... I'm always looking for ways to "soften" chicken for this "new" stomach... Ro Did someone already mention www.thedailyplate.com ??? I found it today, but some of the restaurants break foods down into burger, bun, etc... so that's a pain. Cracker Barrel listed mostly the Kraft cheeses! REST YOUR KNEE... or NO DESSERT!!!

Rest my knee AND no dessert! I haven't heard of the daily plate before, it looks like another good tracking site. I'm so glad there are so many of them around! DH is watching some war miniseries on cable and listening to it is driving me so nutz! I had to put on my Zune just to tune it out or I'd start yelling at somebody. So much for a peaceful weekend.

What's the difference between the iPod and the Zune? DHs and TV...

iPod is an Apple product and really has total market domination...you see all kinds of products made for it even so far as cars with docking stations, etc. Zune does the same thing...plays digital music files but it is a different operating system and the products you buy are not compatible due to different cable hookups. I watched the 'Black Friday' ad promos and got my $250 Zune for $89. The price was enough to make me deal with the product differences. It meant I had to change all my digital files over from iTunes format to the Zune format but big deal. This one is 30 gig, my iPod was 20gig and didn't do anything but music (an older model). This one will play movies and even has radio built into it. I have put a whole bunch of my home photos on it too as well as ALL my music (about 4 full day's worth) and it hasn't hardly touched the hard drive capacity. All I know is now I can exercise again...it was just too hard to get motivated without my iPod and having my own playlists is awesome! Not being computer savvy it has been a struggle, but my daugher's boyfriend has one and he has offered to help me with it if I get stuck. Nice to have a tech guru to fall back on if needed! Molly

Since we are Waaaayyyy off Topic.... Did you see the gal's pic on the Rny board after she ate corn on the cob... and ended up foaming? Felt really bad for her. I turn chalky white and can stay out of the bathroom. True Confession: First night in Florida... I ate so late that I chopped-down 1/2 chicken sandwich... and then lost it in their bathroom! I "roar" basically... can't help it! It was so late that no one was there, but the staff. OR anyone who came in then... left! Ro

Yes, I did see that picture!!! It has been great vicarious fun looking at all those cruise photos. I must have looked at too many because I woke up this morning dreaming I was on a cruise myself. I'd never describe my food being stuck as foamies...it is just all-out war with me trying to get the stuff out, I don't wait around for my body to make that foam. I add little sips of liquid enough at a time to help bring stuff up and get it out. Gross and TMI, I'm sorry. About cell phones...we had to get new ones when we switched plans recently and DH made me choose them and I guess I chose badly. They are a major pain the butt! After he spent $40 on a program and accessories there is still no way to get music on my phone. Grrr... Molly

Does your phone happen to be the Juke from Verizon, cuz I can't get my music on it either. Stupid phone!!

No...dummy that I am I read a whole bunch of internet reviews and thought the Motorola w490 (TMobile) would be the best for us. Wrong! It is a Razor-rip off type and I can't even buy any cases to fit it...without special ordering from the internet and having no selection. Stupid phone describes this one too!
