Upset
So I got to work today and ran into my surgeon. He looked and said I have lost to much weight. Whatever..so to prove it he took me to the scale. Down 8 pounds since last week. He is so not happy with me. I on the other hand am thinking this is great because I am only 5 pounds from my goal. He told me I need to eat, which I do, I just get sick. After that little argument he wanted to look at my belly. I have an appointment tomorrow, but whatever. So he looked. Yep..fluid build up. He wants an ultrasound this week and then it is time for the big ol needle! I am so pissed at myself. I wanted those drains out so bad and look what happens. Dang it!

I have no idea about drains, but I figure that they should be avoided... or are they really helpful? What's with the bid ol neddle? What are they planning to do now? What are they looking for with the ultrasound? Did he explain why you lost 8 lbs?
Confused... Ro
Well every time I eat I get sick, so that explains the weight loss, plus I am healing from a major surgery, I have just lost more weight than he would like.
Drains are helpful. They keep all that old blood from building up in your belly after a big surgery! However, three weeks with them was too much for me. So he took them out, now I he thinks I have some fluid build up and wants to do an ultrasound. If there is fluid in there he will have to take a big needle a aspirate the fluid out...ouch!
