They are gone~
So I just got home from the dr. He came into the office gave me a big hug...I teared up a little and then he had me lay down. He said alright we are going to take out the right drain...I said alright..a little disappointed, but happy to have one out...then he looked into my eyes (I had the puppy eyes) he goes you really want them both out..I said of course, but if I need it then no...well he goes I will take them both out, but we need to keep a real close eye on your belly. If it starts to fill with fluid we will have to put another drain in. I was so excited.
I got my drains out! Then he came back in and noticed how much weight I had lost since surgery and how cold I was and how shaky I was..could have been because I was nervous, but who knows...so he is doing a CBC. Hopefully that comes back okay.
He wants to see me again Monday, he came out to the desk to set up an appointment with me and then told all the ladies out there that they needed to see my pre op pic. I hate that picture. It makes me cry every time. So he brought it out..they are all amazed. I started crying then he started crying..what the heck?
Anyway, now I am hoping for the best and fearing the worst with the drains. Please wish me luck. I really do not want to have another put back in!
Yeah Meghan!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad your drains are gone.
I have to tell you this, my mom had her right breast removed in May and she got her drain out in Dec and she was so happy to have it gone. I felt so bad for her, so I really do know what you were going through, via my mom. I want to see you six months out, your be a smokin hottie!!!
Have a wonderful weekend....Erin
