First and Last Time You Will Ever See This

Okay...2 weeks post TT. I had a prior obligation tonight and I cannot back out of it. It is a semi formal event. I am so swollen, nothing fits. I had a friend bring over a few of her dress clothes and the only thing that worked was a skirt. 1-I fit into it...2- I could hide my drains in it. I HAVE NEVER WORN A SKIRT, NOR WILL I DO IT AGAIN! I look awful in them. On top of that I had to go and buy a huge shirt because I am too swollen....nice...oh well...It will shock all of the people I work with because they always see me in scrubs....never dressy. I posted the picture on my profile...not the best I have ever looked, my hair is awful...it has become so dry since the surgery...oh well....it will all have to do and it is only for a few hours...

Stop being so harsh on yourself. You look very nice and no one can tell all the "goodies"(drains) you are hiding underneath. Enjoy the party!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually you look quite beautiful. Maybe you should consider wearing skirts more often. You do not look swollen at all and cannot tell there are drains present. Just a thin beautiful woman. ~ Terisa

Thanks Diana! I am still getting used to it. I feel like such a boy sometimes with it. Until I lost weight I have never had short hair, but because of the hair loss it was easier. My husband loves it and I think he would be honest with me so I guess it must look ok. LOL It sure is a lot easier to dry!!

Thank you all so much for your kind words. People said they couldn't even tell I had surgery! I can...right now..lots of pain..just took a pain killer. I think it was too much too soon...oh well....I had a great time. I actually got to socialize with people other than my husband and dr.....well..I spent most of the time talking with my dr. but it was great to just be able to unwind and talk on our friendship level again and not that darn pt dr one...I hate having to listen to him (I work with him and like to make things difficult). Anyway, thank you all so much! I know it wasn't that bad, but mentally for me I felt like a fat cow...I can't wait til the swelling goes down..then it will be much better~

Thank you so much. The encouraging words were definently needed last night. I had a great time until my body caught up with me...then it was time to come home, take a pain killer and rest...which really sucked because it was so nice to see people again!

I agree with Bea...you look very cute and the skirt hid everything just fine. You should get more skirts, you have very nice legs and should be proud of them. Skirts aren't much fun to wear if you have to do the pantyhose thing but if you can come up with a tan then I say go for it!
