What did ya eat and how did ya move today? - Monday
Hi Gang, well another weekend is behind us, did ya have a good one? Mine was pretty stressful with a particular patient..but it went really fast because of that.
Had some stress eating continuing through the weekend. I am doing the 5 day pouch test started this afternoon when I woke up from my "nap". I will be following this all week. I leave for my cruise on Monday so I hope to get these few pounds I gained back off. Kelly and Dawn have totally inspired me!
So far today.. I had a "flat out wrap" for breakfast and a Reeses PB egg before I went to bed... dumped for 2 hours.. couldn't sleep.. why do I do this? lesson learned.. yet again.
5 Day pouch test begins.. more like 5.5 days.. doing 2.5 days of liquids.
Today so far..
1 - Mint chocolate Protein shake with 4 oz light vanilla soy milk and drop of peppermint extract blended with ice.. YUM!
2 - 1 cup ham/split pea soup (from 5daypouchtest website). FILLING and thick! wow.. not GREAT.. but not bad.. perfect soup for me so I don't want it all the time.
3 - will be having another mint shake
4 - prob some sugar free jello
5 - maybe an EAS shake.
Plenty of protein there. Off to a decent start.. tomorrow is really the time to start fre****hink Dawn is doing this starting today also, will be cool to see our results.
How did you do today?
Hi Melissa, the Reeses PB egg did not seat well with me either, another lesson learned the hard way.
Today I had:
b-bacon, egg and ham sandwich from mc donalds(minus half the biscuit)
s-sf nf latte with 4 small cookies
l-lean cuisine entree with atking protein bar
s-sf nf latte with 4 small cookies
d-small steak, one small potato and 1/c salad
s-2 flax seed cookies----so yummy!!!!!!!
The McDonalds sandiwch sent me straight to the bathroom, so I am not having that one again.
Good luck with the pouch test and BUEN VIAJE!!!!!!!!!!

VERY GOOD eating today....I am getting a sore arm from patting myself on the back. My eating has been so out of control the last few months that I felt it was time to either join everybody on the 5DPT or just throw out all the carbs in the house. Two days in a row of gains on the scale has me freaked out enough to behave better and drop the cals for a bit. I've come to a realization that I *want* to weigh 130. It really isn't where my body seems comfortable but it is where my head seems happiest. So that means I have to get tough, knock down the carbs and up the exercise. Here's today's eats:
--a POT of decaf, not a lot of extra water but some (too cold today!)
1) 1/2 cup 0% fage, 1 carrot cake muffin
2) 2 cups 'Dolly Parton'-style veggie soup
3) 1 chicken thigh topped w/mozz, small spinach salad w/regular ital. dressing (trying to up my fats)
4) choc. fudge EAS

I know this is bad on the fluid intake, esp. since the soup and the chicken were loaded with sodium. But honestly, it is too cold to even contemplate drinking a cold glass of water.
When it warmed up to 30 today I went shopping and treated myself rather grandly to a bunch of new camisoles, another sweater and a new purse. Clothes sure help me stay focused on what size I want to remain and remembering how I have to eat in order to maintain that size. It's expensive motivation but I hope I'm worth it.
Have a great evening, see you tomorrow!

Hi, Gals...
I've been eating meals out a lot this week and not feeling so great about it. I'm not certain if it is the sodium or not knowing what is actually going into my body that has me feeling drained. The past "week" has been busy, as DH's mom visited for 5 days. The rides to pick-up and drop-off Mom had my tailbone in a knot... OUCH!
Last night I shared a bread pudding floating in heavy cream, which is not exactly a low cal way to end a meal and mid-week... most of a veggie pizza. I did say "NO" to a lot more treats, but this has been the toughest "eats week" for me since WLS. Today was a bit better, as only lunch was eaten at a restaurant.
