What did ya eat and how did ya move? TGIF edition
Hi all! It's friday, another week has gone by.. How are you doing? Are ya hanging in there? Staying determined. Please share with us how you are eating and how you are moving! Let's be accountable everyone!
B: Blueberry Cottage Cheese Pancakes with FF rhedi whip and SF blueberry topping, 1 soy sausage patty.
S: 1 cup chili homeade (pre gym workout)
S: 1 SB cinnamon raisin protein bar (post gym workout)
***Ran 1.5 miles on treadmill incorporating sprints with incline and 45 of circuit training on upper and lower body***
L: 1 3 oz chicken sausage with 1 LaTortilla high fiber tortilla (50 cal) with side salad with romaine, feta, roasted red pepper, onion, black olives, walnuts and low fat raspberry vinigerette dressing.
D: 2 pumpkin protein pies with whip and 'frosting' (FF cream cheese, splenda, vanilla extract)
S: EAS Shake
Cals: 1194, carbs 97, fiber 26, protein 114
Still not enough I may add another snack of yogurt and fruit in there somewhere if I can. Can't build muscle on 1200 cals well.
Hi, don't want to post here today but I have to make myself do it. Bad eating again today. This month's 'visit' is really getting me down physically and mentally, it seems.
Exercise was four hours at work today and being on my feet all day at home continuing to pack away the Christmas stuff. Next year i will undoubtedly be glad that I've been getting rid of some of it. It is just beginning to be too much of a burden to drag it all out and then to put it all away. Eats have felt out of control today but I have tried to help myself by getting trigger foods out of the house (nsa ice cream went outside and I gave the dog the rest of the whole wheat crackers that bothered me at dinner).
--sf decaf chai latte
1) 1/2 applesauce oatmeal protein muffin (they got stale so I threw it out)---nsv here, before surgery I'd have just eaten the whole thing anyway
2) 1 pkg. Oh Yeah! Protein wafer bars (both bars)
3) 2 PK's pumpkin protein muffins
4) cottage cheese pancakes, 1/4 cup sf syrup, 3 squirts sf topping
5) 3 servings whole wheat crackers, 3/4 cup nf cottage cheese....very satisfying but came with a heaping helping of carb guilt
calories: 1148
carbs: 120
fats: 36
protien: 76
If I weren't a gastric bypass patient I'd be very happy with today's numbers but I continue to be bothered by carbs. Maybe I need to get a tattoo that reads "Carbs as CONDIMENTS, DUMMY!"
My turn to work through the weekend again, it has already been a very long week and it just keeps going. I apologize for being so whiny.

Hi Shannon! Great to have another December surgery sibling here. Have you tried out online food journalling yet? I tried fitday.com and had a bit of trouble with it but a lot of people really love it. What worked for me is sparkpeople.com. Same basic plan just easier for me to use. I'm signed up for the daily e-mails from them and they send great motivational articles and have a great recipe builder site where you can enter your own recipes and they calculate the calories for you so you can just plug it right into your food plan. You can also share your recipes with other people...it is great!
Hope you are having a great weekend--
Molly
