Out with the old...
...in with the new! Today has been a good day for throwing away leftover holiday foods and reorganizing the freezer to find the healthier foods. I buried the last of the baking supplies in the freezer since I'm too cheap to get rid of them and then just buy more when I need some down the line.
The chicken tenders are now on the top of the freezer pile as well as the baggies of frozen veggies and other fun things waiting to be eaten. Today I thawed a package of the edamame-in-shell from Costco and am nibbling on them now. They taste really good just plain but I will have to try to find a way to jazz them up for future eats.
On to a return to healthy eating again now! I slacked off my food plan during the last few weeks and am so sick and tired of even my legal sweet treats that going back to the lean proteins and salads will be a yummy change.
Here's to success for all of us in our second year! Protein shake toasts:

Hi Molly! I love the edamame you get at Costco.. I got some when I was in KC visiting and threw it in a cooler for the ride home.. i just love the stuff. I like to pop them all out and put a dash of low sodium soy sauce on them.. yumo!
Good for you for starting over with a clean slate.. here is to fabulous new year! Hugs!
