Surgery next Friday

So my doc put me on prevacid today. He thinks that I have an ulcer around my anastamosis. Hopefully it works. Also since my hernia is so painful now, they decided to do my surgery the 11th of January. I am so fricken nervous. I hate it. I am the one always helping with the surgery...not the patient. I will also be getting a tummy tuck! How exciting! I will keep you updated!

I had an ulcer and had to take both prevacid AND carafate...they worked wonders for my pain. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from surgery, and at least you have the tummy tuck to look forward to, eh??

Wow, how exciting! You are going to be the second one of our group now for plastics, right? Angela went first? How great to be getting your tummy tuck so soon, I'm mildly jealous! Sorry to hear about your ulcer, hope that the prevacid will allow it to heal quickly. Are you also taking Carafate? I take both of those for my ulcers and if I keep away from the real coffee then they stay in line nicely. Boy do I know it when I dip into the coffee, though. Wowee how quickly they can come back! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers on the 11th for a safe, uneventful surgery. You'll do great...just think how much healthier you are going into THIS surgery than you were a year ago! gentle hugs!
