Happy Holidays
Hi everybody! I just wanted to wish you all a merry christmas. I hope you are enjoying the day with your family and friends. I am on call for the hospital so I have gotten to enjoy it with patients. At least I know I am helping somebody!
Anyway, best luck with the holiday eating. I have been doing great and am very surprised. In fact I lost four pounds last week. Hopefully I can keep that up.
Happy Holidays!
Maghan
Thank you so much Steve. Also thanks for always being there for me. I always know when I need something you will be the first to reply and you always have something smart to say!
Tomorrow I am off to have an ultrasound. I have been having problems eating. They are thinking maybe my gallbladder....hopefully not. I am hoping it is just stress, but I guess I will know tomorrow. Anyway in the last week I have lost five pounds and they say for somebody my size that is not normal...here we go!
Take care and hope you had a great holiday!
OK, now I'm worried about you... I had the gall bladder thing. Started out as a dull ache that felt like it was directly beneath my right lung (dead in the middle of my body). It felt better when I sat straight up but if I slouched or leaned left or right, the ache would get worse and worse until it almost felt like a stabbing pain. I had two ultrasounds and they found several (around nine) little stones and the one that had the most size was right at the bile duct. A week later I was in the hospital for laparoscopic removal of my gall bladder. Had the surgery at 1130 on a Tuesday and was at a meeting for work on Thursday afternoon. If that is what's ailing you, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it goes as easily for you as it did for me. I know you have many other things to deal with and stress in your life doesn't help. So, don't worry about keeping me informed, but know that you'll be on my mind until this is all resolved, sweetie. I'm right here any time you need me - call, email or whatever. Let me know if you need my phone numbers again, ok?
...like a rock,
Steve
Oh I have all ways of contacting you. Thanks!
Mine hasn't been too bad. Every once in awhile it feels like somebody has just jabbed a knife in my side, twisted it, and then pulled out......who know though. I am going to try and put the surgery off (if that's what it is****il my hernia surgery in May. I would like to do it all at once. My dr says there is a med they can put you on now to help with it, so hopefully I can do that.
Thanks for your concern and don't worry about me. Take care of yourself. I will be fine!
Hey, now! I've spent the last YEAR worrying about me; I'm choosing to worry about you for right now, if you don't mind!!! ;)
I hope that the meds work, but don't put it off if it doesn't seem like they're working. It can get pretty serious if you try to look the other way. I know that you'd like to get it all done at the same time, Maghan. But, you're a health professional, and you know what can happen when you don't take care of yourself. Just promise me that you'll worry about Maghan FIRST!!! Please?
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help - I'm GREAT moral support (if you hadn't noticed).
I'll be saying a little prayer for my friend Maghan tonight....
Take care, cutie!
