What did ya eat and how did ya move today? - Tuesday
Hi Gang! Another week behind us and only 2 weeks till Christmas! Hope you have most of your shopping done and wrapping started. I just love wrapping presents with pretty paper and ribbons its so much fun! My tree with all the presents is sooo pretty that I wish I could leave it up all year long!
I just got finished running 2.5 miles and gonna do some ab work and some light weights here in a bit and some lower leg stuff. Basically hit all the body groups since I cannot exercise at all tomorrow. I have that BMR (basal metabolic testing) on Wednesday morning so I can find out how to maintain my weight better by finding out how many calories I can consume. Also, I am having a physical fitness assessment test where I run on a treadmill with a mask and it measures the amount of oxygen to my heart and also looks at what my target and maximum heart rate is.. all specific to just me. I need more guidance than.. "you are doing fine with calories and exercise" or "eat 1200, you will be ok".. nah thats not black and white enough for me. I am below goal now so its time to get it all figure out and if I need to up cals some then I will do it a healthy way to maintain. I love my exercise and that just isn't going to leave me.. its my transfer addiction and my stress relief, I just love it.
So.. gang.. please excuse me for tomorrow and wednesday, i won't be around much as I will be out of town, I have to travel for this test and my 1 year follow up. I will update when I get back Thursday!
This is what I ate today!
prebreakfast (at work): Atkins Peanut Butter Granola Bar
Breakfast: 2 pumpkin protein muffins with whip and 'frosting'
snack: 2 baby pickles, small handful of soy nuts, apple with peanut butter (notice the graze?) I notice this is becoming a pattern on Mondays when I can't wind down and sleep. I guess we could call this lunch? It was noon.
Up at 4:30
Dinner: 1 egg, 2 oz ham steak.
Snack: 10 very small all bran crackers, 1 oz light mozz cheese (snacky snacky!)
Snack: EAS Shake. Lots of grape CL and gingerbread tea.. yum!
Cals: 1072, fats 42, carbs 80, fiber 15, protein 105
Still did OK considering.. that is what its all about right? I burned 350 cals exercising at least too.. how did you do?
Hi! Hope everybody is staying warm and ice-free. We just have a few inches of snow and very cold here...no ice, thank goodness! Moves today were 8 hours at work doing the usual lifting and such. One sort of thrill...someone found a scale that a customer had unwrapped, tested and abandoned and in walking it back to it's place she was squeezing it to see how strong she was. I've never done this, have you? So the really funny thing was that out of all of us there in the morning I was the strongest. LOL! I squeezed 110 pounds consistently and the closest was the big 23-year old guy who could get to 110 pounds after a few tries.
So, no wonder I have big shoulders!
Anyway, eats today weren't that great. Ma Nature finally decided to end the pms yesterday and today I'm craving carbs in the worst way and of course have already had a good sized gain which will even out by the end of the week. Bye-bye to that lovely 128 for a few days anyway. waaaa.... Here's eats:
nf, sf soy latte
decaf sf chai
1) 1/2 cup 0% fage yogurt, 1/2 cup kashi go lean
2) 1 whole wheat oat pumpkin muffin 'donut' while coworkers had birthday cake
3) 2 pk's protein pumpkin muffins, 2 turkey/cheese rollups
4) 2 splenda gingerbread cookies (actually one in the a.m before the yogurt and one later after lunch but lumped together for calories)
5) 2 pieces melissa's protein fudge
6) 1 chicken thigh, 3/4 cup 'creamed' green peas
calories: 1089
carbs: 103
fats: 27
protein: 113
Tomorrow will be challenging: I took the day off work for a big dental appointment and then am going to my mom's house for the day. I will have to pre-plan my food or I'll end up grazing badly at her house. She always has yummy stuff to eat! Wish me luck.
