My turn!!
Today is my one year surgiversary and I am thrilled with my results to date. My eating habits are still not where they should be but I am trying hard to correct that. I am currently weighing 190 down from 372 pre-op. I actually gained a 2 pounds in the last week, not sure why, but I am not stressing over it. I started going to the gym this week and have made it 3 days in row. A feat unheard of pre-op!
I have never felt better and I would do this surgery all over again even with the complicatins I had immediately following surgery. Before I had this surgery I could not walk across the living room without being winded and just last night i was chasing my two kids down the road in their Tonka dump truck. They were going 5 mph and I was keeping up without sweating a river. Those kids are the reason I had this surgery. I did not want to be the "fat mom" that sits on the sidelines. My kids are my life and this surgery gave me the life I need to be there for them!!
I thank everyone on this board for the support and advice. Even though it is only online it helps allot. I am a strong beliver in internet relationships( have to be met my dh on the net almost 10 years ago) and think they provide the suport when it was needed instead of having to wait for the once a month in person meeting.
Thanks again & congrats to all my December sisters and brother(wouldn't forget you Steve!)for the new lease on life that we all share!!
CONGRATULATIONS AMY!!! You have made such wonderful progress and have so much to be proud of with all you've done. You are no longer the fat mom and your kids have so much to look forward to with their new, active, energetic (Beautiful!!!) mom.
Keep up the good work! I hope that for you and all of us here the coming year is even better than the past one.
