A year ago tonight
I was a nervous wreck. I had endured the lovely "day of cleansing", wrapped things up at work and just waited. Now a year later I'm down 99 lbs (hopefully 100 by my 1-year follow up tomorrow!! I feel so darn healthy! I've run two 5K's and I'm actually enjoying running! I'm in charge of my eating not the other way around. I continue to be surrounded by wonderful friends and family who have been so encouraging. What an amazing journey. Congrats to all the Dec folks out there!!

Dawn - the "program" I used to start running is called Couch to 5K and you can find it on www.coolrunning.com in the training area.
Melissa - you'll love your 1st 5K whenever it happens! I "heat up" pretty quickly when running, so cold hasn't been a factor. They say it's like it's 20 degrees warmer when you run.
