Hello Everyone!!
I was invited here because I had my surgery 12/15/06. I have lost 100 pounds but 16 of those were lost before surgery.
I have worked extremely hard to get the weight off. But I know this is a long journey and we need to adjust often. But I am here and there is no turning back. I dont have a choice to go backwards, I can only go forwards.
I have thought about revision often, but really do not want to go back under the knife. But I will say that I feel so much better without the extra weight.
I love my new life. But I am not going to lie, I wish this journey was easier for me. But, nothing in life worth having is easy.
Be Blessed!
Hello!
Welcome. This is a very supportive group! I can offer you support, knowing I have had good and bad days too along the way, and most certainly can't claim to be a model patient...but, all in all, I do my very best to make good food and exercise choices and figure that the rest will come with time and adjustment.
Congratulations on the 100 lbs gone!!! What a feat! High five! I think it is important for us to acknowledge where we have been, where we want to go, but that overall, we dropped the weight, WHATEVER amount it is, in whatever time frame it is.
If we focus on a diet mentality post op, we will fail. I am so glad you're here, and I hope you find all sorts of support, be it via email, recipes, and just plain old chewing the.....I was going to say fat......hmm, chewing the sugarless gum together
Best to you today and always,
Megan
