Thanksgiving and an attitude of gratitude

I am 2 lbs away from losing 100% of my excess BMI: Weight day I left the hospital 12/19/06: 292 Current weight: 160 What a difference 132 lbs makes! I am SO grateful that for this day, in this week, my mind has settled and is at ease. I can sense my overall weight loss for the first time in 11 months. I have a wonderful post operative program in place, and all in all, I feel so fortunate that we have all been given this gift and tool to change our lives. It's really empowering to take back control of my body and work on maintaining a healthier lifestyle. I hope this week is a great for everybody, and if it is not, hang in there, because next week brings us new opportunities as well! Best, Megan

We all have a lot to be thankful for even if I do have my freak out moments I try to keep them on the down low here but sometimes its hard and I appreciate you showing us how far we have come, we need to be reminded of that! *hugs* and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Thanks Melissa.... This really was the first day I said to myself "I think I DID lose some weight!" I know you can relate....it's been this bizarre head game for 11 months....but we are all doing so well, and I think we have a neat group of people involved in maintaining our support network! Freak out moments....yes! We all have them....I am feeling ok.....having less of them now, which feels so darned good! I will work to 158....and then who knows!
