Natalie you are not alone....I wanted you to read this OK well I thought I would make my life simple a can of beans for lunch, I started going to the gym on my lunch hour. Well I thought the can of beans was 8 oz. I ate the whole thing....well I took a second look at the can and wammo it was 11 oz, but it was plain ole pork and beans and I bet there was 2 oz of juice in there....trying to make myself not to look like a porker (sorry for the pun! ) So I guess depending on the food I can eat 9-10 oz, wish I was back to just eating 4 oz....sigh... Hi Erin! I would think ANYTHING could be a slider food...I one ate 2 whole oranges and wondered where they went....my bad for keeping 2 peeled oranges in front of me...I probably should've placed the other orange in the fridge for work the next day. Hang in there! Megan

Hey Sweetie.. I think of pork and beans a lot like chili with the sauce and all. I can eat a whole cup of very dense chili.. lots of beans and meat before I start to feel a fuller sensation.. so I think you are fine, I am sure I could actually go to more than a cup, I know I could actually, but I stop there. You are fine, I think we all need to take a deep breath in and out and remember that our tools are just fine and just because we "can" doesn't mean we "should". This is where measuring becomes more crucial than ever.. need to limit it to 1 to 1/2 cups of food total and be done there no matter what to prevent future problems. I think that some of us have a bit more restriction than others and I also believe that others totally FEAR knowing they COULD eat like us and won't even try and say that they cannot when they probably could if they wanted to. And others may have a smaller/tighter pouch/stoma and well... they probably are having many more food intolerances which I have none and for now.. I will just be thankful for that and measure and stop and at least I have no fear of eating anything (withing my good food selections)not going down/clearing the stoma.. I like being able to go out to eat witih DH or family and have ever worry about the pukes at the table.. so I am trying to look at it positively... I think for many of us we are reaching a year out, our stomachs can handle more variety, more amount wise and tolerate things maybe it didn't early on, we are becoming more "normal" in a sense.. eating like a smaller/healthier person should. That is A-OK. We are doing great and we will continue to do so.. hang in there sweetie. Love ya!
