How was your day?
Yay...it is Friday and my week is over. Now on to getting the weekend out of the way and then rolling up my sleeves for next week...the toughest week of the whole year in retail as you can imagine. Oh, and I'm having the family at my house for Thanksgiving. LOL! Very tired and battling eats today, carbs are already too high so I have planned egg beaters and sauteed veggies for dinner in hopes that it will hold me. I may throw in an EAS too to see how it works this evening. Oh, and also I got up in the night this morning and ate a bowl of cereal....ugh, can't believe I gave in to that so I'm adding that in to the tally.

1) homemade protein bar
2) another homemade protein bar
3) nectar fuzzy naval
4) 1 mini bag popcorn

Trying to be mindful of my eating and remember that on Dec. 5th I'll have my one year checkup and want to hit that 100# mark or come awfully close to it by Dr.'s scale.
Oh, and moves today were 6 hrs at work trying to go extra fast without running over any customers or fellow employees.

You really are doing great molly.. and much of those carbs remember are "fiber" and do not count towards your total carb intake. I am sure a few grams in the protien bar and popcorn.. at least. I should be adding on to my eats.. I tell you guys the last two days what I had "planned" to have but the past two days I tagged on a few more things and got up to 1400 calories both days.. the PMS is absolutely killing me. None of it is "bad for me food" like I will add a protein bar and popcorn or another shake and something else.. its bad tho, its calories i do not need but the cravings are uncontrollable and my pouch feels HUGE when I am this way like there is no bottom to it
Wow, I never even stopped to think about those carbs being fiber! Not that I will allow that to make me stop worrying about the daily totals but still it reduces the guilt a lot.
Those mini bags of popcorn became a crutch for me for awhile so I quit having them but am back to them again. They really do fill a need for PMS munchies. I know I can eat the whole thing and know it is only 100 calories and then *it's gone*!
Do you think that because of our altered intestinal absorption the vitamin 'cure' for PMS would not work for us? I've never researched it but wonder now if it would do us any good? Need to find out which vitamin or mineral it is and then check the chart my nut. gave me that shows where certain vitamins are best digested in the intestines. Very interesting chart.

Ok guys you see my cals and carbs have been high be truthful do you think I am in trouble? I am sooooooooo scared but I can't seem to get a grip on this. I know I constantly post my concern and somehow I am still loosing but I fear it will come back to bite my tail one of these days.
What do you all think?
Thank You So Much
Mini Me
Ok, since you asked: I see you are fighting the same carb demons so many of us are. Maybe the difference for me is that I don't eat white flour anymore so none of that chicken club sand. bread would have gone in me but other than that your day looks like a lot of the same foods I eat.
How much banana did you eat? Those darn yellow bombs are our carb killers. Not only are they terrible for our daily numbers, I really think the high amount of natural sugars in them make us want more carbs just the way white flours do. These days I never eat more than half a banana (or I dump anyway) because I'd so much rather have lots left in my carb budget to use elsewhere. What other kinds of things could you substitute for a snack? Are you craving the sweet food when you select a banana or could you make do with the cottage cheese at that time?
How about the granola bar? Can you substitute a soy-based protein bar instead? That would also bring your carb numbers down a lot. I quit buying granola bars because I found that I just couldn't keep my daily totals down when I used them.
Please don't think I'm picking on you, I know you aren't feeling well this week and you'll gt back on track as soon as your visitor leaves. Help yourself by not buying the things that are becoming problems for you. The next six weeks are going to bring a lot of stress (not to mention another go-round with the visitor) and the last thing you need additionally is facing temptation at home where you can get rid of it first.
Hugs!!!!

i'm not a NUT so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I honestly don't think it is possible for you to stop loosing or to re-gain if you only consume 1149cal/day (or anything under 1200, for that matter.) you body has to burn at least 1500 or so/, probably more(depending of your height, weight, activity level), so i really don't think you cals are too high.
having said that, my surgeon generally recommends 800 cals/day during the first year but, personally, there's no WAY i could survive on that
