Well Hello All! How was your weekend? Do anything fun? Please share, I love to live vicariously on the weekends through all of you! I had a great weekend at work, no complaints here! I also had my annual evaluation at work and was a bit concerned about it because for the first time in my life I didn't give 100 percent to my job as far as coming in extra or joining committees etc.. b/c of the surgery I wanted to get myself straightened out with a low stress level and focus on me first for the first time in my life. Now when I am at work I give 200 percent to my coworkers and patients, I am talking the extra stuff. Well I got a perfect raise so it really let me see that I can put myself first and balance my life and still achieve things.. it was good for me today to see that. Anyways! Enough about me.. so today, no I didn't exercise, never do on Mondays, always my recoop day, but I will tomorrow. As for my eats, not much yet as I slept some of course.. B: 1 homeade pumpkin protein bar with 1 tbs of light whip and 1 tbsp of 'frosting' S: (just a bit later before bed) 1 light mozz stick and 1 pickle spear L: 4 oz of SuperFruit Blue Bunny Light Yogurt (look for this its awesome! Powercharged with anitoxidants and probiotics!) It has 60 cals for 4 oz, 5 protein, 9 carbs, and 6 sugars. Wonderful. Also had 1/3 cup blueberries fresh and 1/4 cup Bare Naked Granola. D: 2 pumpkin protein pies with whip and 'frosting' S: EAS Shake. Cals 826, fat 25, carbs 73, protein 81 May add another cheesestick or something to bump the protein up some. I am hooked on this holiday black tea from Starbucks.. I highly suggest it but it is expensive.. Even my husband loves it.. can taste the "quality" of it! How did you do?

Melissa, I'm back at the puter because DH woke me up when he came to bed and why just lay there not sleeping... Anyway, before bed I posted a reply to you with my eats and now it is not here (for me to see) and I didn't want you to feel all neglected. Too tired to type it all out again but my numbers came out very good for Monday and even the demon carbs were not that bad. I am reading Mindess Eating and it seems to be helping me stay focused. In the other post I asked you about the Starbucks tea because I found tea at a Safeway Starbucks in holiday packaging but didn't know if it was the tea you spoke about. There were different names on the packaging and the clueless kid behind the counter was no help. Frankly, it just looked like their regular Tazo varieties of tea in holiday packaging... They did have individual names on the teas though which made me wonder. I've never tried the SB teas before. Heavens, between Lipton, Bigelow and Celestial Seasonings there are soo many teas here for me to choose from that it becomes a big choice when the kettle is hot. Congratulations on your good performance review and the raise! You deserve it, I'm sure. Someone who is as cariing and thoughtful as you can only bless others all around her the way you do when you are first taking care of yourself adequately. Do you know who Dr. James Dobson is? (a Christian family psch.) A quote from one of his books on parenting years ago really stuck with me regarding moms but it pertains to everybody...(paraphrased) if you think of yourself as a pitcher and don't keep it full by caring and nurturing your own spirit then when you pour out yourself to others pretty soon there is nothing there to pour. An empty pitcher benefits nobody. So this past year you have demonstrated that taking good care of yourself has been of great benefit to your patients and coworkers alike. Got on the scale again before bedtime and there was a big gain. Sigh... Am not looking forward to this week's official weigh in. (which will be in just a few hours for me) Hope I can get back to sleep. Have a good Monday! Molly

Thank you, Dawn! Wish I could figure out how to make the avatar picture the same size as everybody else's and still get it to meet the OH guidelines. Am just too tired to figure it out today. LOL Tomorrow will be better and I'll try again. Molly

Love the new avie Molly you are so pretty!! As for the tea its by and comes in these little satin sheen pouches and in a tin can (pretty posh!) but its very good and better than the Stash holiday teas (haven't tried Tazo, need to) in my opinion but not so sure I want to keep spending the money on them although DH is hooked on them now! argh.. The tea I am referring to is sold at the actual starbucks.. not sure where else u can get it, DH said he found them at www.harney.com. I believe the name is Harney and Sons. I have not heard of that doctor you referred to but what an awesome quote! I love it and thanks for sharing it! I finished reading Mindless Eating.. amazing book. Really enjoyed the read. I am sure the scale is a temporary flux in water.. I see the cals u eat each day and no way is it true weight gain.. hang in there. sip some lemon water, should help with that bloat.. always works for me or asparagus. Hugs!

Thank you! The Safeway Starbucks had those little pouches and I think the tin and also a box of a single flavour of tea in a Christmasy packaging. The ones in the pouches were different types, I think. Didn't have time to get to a big Starbucks to see theirs but maybe I'll have time tomorrow. I've bought a bunch of Celestial Seasonings and Bigelow's holiday teas and been very happy with them so far. Some are herbal and some are not but boy, tasty! I'm really pushing the water in addition to teas and hope to see the scale get back down again. Thanks for the encouragement! Hugs!! Molly

OK--I am officially back! B: Protein Bar L: Turkey Coldcuts (2oz) 3 slices of 2% cheese S: cc Yogurt D: Roast Beef (4oz) LF Cheese (2oz) S: Cucumbers and Cream Cheese Before my last snack i was at :750 Calories 32 Fat 21 Carb 93 protein I also joined Jazzercise- so i did 30 cardio and 30 weights and stretching!
