Hi Kathi! You are doing great! Try mixing it up a little with the foods you eat and your exercise.. or also try calorie cycling.. bring them down to 700-800ish for a day or two then back up to your norm (where ever yours is) and it keeps the body guessing.. *hugs*

Hi Melissa, I posted my stats earlier but this is what has helped me: 1. Exercise!!! You must move to lose. 2. Measure / weigh your food. I eat about 6 ounces per meal, its a fact that this amount is what fills me up. To eat more than that would not work for me. I weigh my food when I am at home. When I am not at home, I try real hard to trust my instincts so that I dont start to overeat. 3. Do not drink with meals. Wait 30 mins to an hour after meals before you start to drink again. 4. Watch the carbs-- eat some carbs but try to watch them. You do require carbs for energy-especially if you work out but they should not be allowed to overload your diet. Eat a balanced diet--all of the vital nutrients are important- calcium, protein, b vitamins, iron, etc and food is the best source. Find out what you can eat--try new things, you may like things that you didnt like in the past. 5. Support is KEY!! OH.com, friends, coworkers, family members , whoever is supporting you, support must happen. I also think that journaling is important. Writing can be cathartic for some, it is for me. 6. Drink your water!! Enough said. 7. Take your vitamins and get your blood checked. 8. Stay in touch with your doctors, take responsibility for your health. It is YOUR priority, no one elses and no one will care more than YOU. 9. Take photos-- carry those old photos with you--sometimes you need a visual reminder of where you have been, so that you do not do things that will cause you to go back. 10. Talk to others who have been through this journey. Copy some of their techniques, especially if its working for them. The grads board is good. I have my own personal Grads set of friends who have had surgery over the years and I bend their ear. I ask a ton of questions about what habits they use that are successful and what obstacles they run across. This will help prepare myself for this life-changing event. Never forget that the things that we are doing today to lose the weight, we will have to do them for the rest of our lives. We can never give up this fight, never become complacent and never think that you wont have trouble with your weight. I pray that I can remain diligent, for life with these things that I am doing now. It is critical for my success. Good luck to all of you, my december friends and keep fighting the good fight. Angela
