Hello, hello! Happy Saturday everybody!!! I am getting things ready for work for tonight and tomorrow night and my husband and his dad and his brother are finally finishing a 3 year wait on a new handrail so I am pretty excited. Got some new carpet being put in this week before the halloween party and some linoleum in the bathrooms so that will keep me busy plus I have to go to Des Moines for a continuing ed thing for my nursing license on thursday after my first therapy session with the WLS therapist (so excited about it!). I have not done any exercise today.. they are working on the stairs and the treadmill is down there.. oops so I will skip today as I haven't showered yet and don't look presentable to be going on a walk. My job keeps me active enough all night long. B: Cottage Cheese Panakes with SF syrup (I got some from PK Molly that has NO SA's! and only 2 calories, sweetened with splenda - thinner then the other SF stuff with SA's but still great!) used 1/3 cup blueberries to make them inside and out and 3 strawberries sliced up as well. S: PK pumpkin protein pie (last one! cry) S: 1 light mozz stick and EAS shake on the way to work. D #1: 4 oz tomato basil chicken breasts (these are prefrozen and nukable at walmart, kinda expensive but my oh my are they good just grilled and seasoned) and then 1/2 cup of steamed vegtables. I usually don't finish all this btw.. D#2: 1 cup chili with 2 saltines Cals 866, fats 27, carbs 63, protein 103. I am right about where I wanna be, although cals are low for me but since I didn't run today I feel ok with it. How did you do today?

!!!! You ate the LAST PUMPKIN PIE??? What are the rest of us supposed to do, Melissa? Dont have time to list my entire consumption, but I wanted to see who else knows about Crunch O's. They come in BBQ and Sour Cream/Onion. They come in a 1.1oz bag and are a high protein snack (12g). 3g of sugar and 3.5 G of fat with no Saturated or Trans Fat. 130 cal with 30 cal from fat. I've been looking for some kind of protein intake that wasn't a form of some kind of Chocolate!!! How BORING!!! Needed something crunchy that wasn't potato chips, too. Anyone tried them? Did get my 1.4 miles in today, but on the treadmill vice outside (rainy day here). BB, Steve

Hey Steve! I have heard of the Crunch O's they are pretty good but you should also try Kay's Naturals.. they have a website, google it. They have a ton of preoprotioned out protein type snacks like nacho/chii chips, different pretzels and things that are made of soy protein. I love the honey almond cereal dry.. yum. 100 cals and I believe 15 proteins I could be wrong.. been a while. I need to order some more! Have a good weekend!!!

Steve, I second Melissa's recommendation of Kay's Naturals. One of the ladies on the regular RNY board sent a recipe to the company for a baked chicken coated with the Parmesan Cheese chips crushed and they are going to publi**** in their newsletter. Can't wait, it sounds yummy! I get mine from BariatricEating.com and they are so handy to keep around for a protein snack. Molly come visit me, Steve...I still have some of PK's pumpkin pie left

Google CRUNCH O'S. They might be considered a little expensive - about $1.85 a bag (1.5 oz). But they're really good (especially the BBQ). I'm salty, but not too crunchy. Good luck, Diana. S

Thanks I just ordered some of the Kays things from Amazon. FREE shipping and seemed to be cheaper then the other site.

Happy Saturday! Mel, You are really getting close to being "Oprah of RNY MB"! Love the recent news and all of the great comments. I love it when Oprah enters the room and everyone goes wild. Weird, I know. Man, she must feel great! (((Big Hug, Mel))) I've been pretty busy with my silicone insert quest this week and the results have really improved my self-esteem. Silly, but true. The best thing is that I chose a "reward" and went for it. Not used to rewards, but this made me very happy. Ro As for eats: B: 1/2 bag mini popcorn, Atkins bar, yogurt L: Atkin's bar (emergency supply), 4 mushrooms, zip amount of imitation crab, and hardly any stuffing... Very disappointing order of mushrooms with crab meat stuffing at the local dinner...Argh! D: Escarole-based broth with a few 3 cheese tortellini and some jalapeno chicken sausage, string cheese, Fudgsicle S: 1/2 bag mini popcorn, apple cinnamon rice cake with 1.5 t light cream cheese and caramel Davinci syrup (should have made 1 T... yum!) I might boost the protein with a snack, but feel satisfied so far. True Confession: I NEED to MOVE!
