The NEW Girls on the Block!
Oky Doky Ro! Now you gotta give more info since you are our guinea pig in the Wal-Mart Silicones. It is a full-coverage style pad (hence the nipples?) right? You said you are still using the VS turkey cutlets to fill in the top so that means that the Walmart ones don't do the complete job huh? bummer... I didn't know about the nipples before, do you think they can be cut off? I don't like to be ahem, pointy. So I've always got on a padded bra to try to control that anyway.
Your DH and mine can get together to watch tv anytime. Although, 'Voyager' is the preferred Star Trek series around here. I actually looked into buying the dvd set for DH as a gift but the price about gave me a coronary. This is an old show and it goes for around $800. Sorry but if I had that kind of cash laying around it would go in the ps account.
Another Vulcan note...my mom and dad have a sweet thing they do in hospitals when one is scared: they have Vulcan Finger Sex. (On the original Star Trek series that is how the deed was done...not all sweaty-like as in the last series.) I've seen them do it before one of them is about to get wheeled into surgery or while waiting for some scary test results. Its nice (and sadly rare) these days to have grown up seeing love and respect put in practice everyday.
So, you could offer that to your husband and bring the numbers up substantially.

Hi, Molly! Here's the scoop: The inserts are 5" wide and 4" in height. That should be enough coverage for a correct fitting bra, which I am NOT using. Probably even better in the padded bras. They're advertised as adding 1 1/2 - 2 cup sizes for the one-size-fits-all. About 1/2" under the nipple, there's added thickness, which makes a nice push-up. The nipple is not way-out there. I'd just try it on, Molly, and see if it's too much first. You can't do the "cut", as the package warns: Keep away from sharp objects, inserts will easily puncture. They are very comfy, mold to the beast, and stay in place! Good News: They can be worn in sal****er and in chlorinated pools!
$800!!! OMG... Go with the PS account... What's the going rate on a pair anyway?
I have no idea what the name of DH program is called; it could be Voyager. Love that your mom and dad are so tender towards eachother...very heart-warming!
Vulcan Finger Sex...hum Was this the head-to-head, with hands clasped on the other head thing... or ... was that the "mind link"? Oh, they were probably thinking about sex anyway! And that Green Chick on the old show....Kirk almost burst! HeHeHe
Now I have to find out how to do the Finger Sex! DH will get a kick if I surprise him.
Hope that your parents get some relief health-wise, Molly.
True Confession: We actually decided to write an S on the calendar a few years back, as I said that we WERE having more S3X; more often. After a while, the guys asked, "What's with the Ss?" Obviously, to prove a point and up the numbers, I had been more available. Then there was a pause...and they cringed...they got it. We were told that we were "sick", but at that time we lived alone. I didn't expect that anyone would check-out my calendar...no more Ss here.
I have a feeling that Beatriz and Dawn would feel that I was unethically fudging the numbers, as they are the number pros here. DH doesn't mind if I cook the books, if he's the one getting dessert.

Dad claims that back in the original series they just touched the tip of their index fingers. He and Mom get a big kick out of their little secret joke. Thanks for the kind thoughts for my parents...no their health isn't getting better. My mom and her family are all victims of the WR Grace company in Libby, Montana and the asbestosis problems. We have lost so many people there already and they suffer so much in their later years it is very sad. I've never been tested, hopefully I didn't spend enough time there as a kid for it to have done any damage to me.
The new series your husband likes is Enterprise. Voyager was on before it and is my husband's favorite although he does like that one too. The only ones he doesn't like are the Next Generation series but he's such a sci-fi fan that if there isn't anything else interesting on tv he'll watch that occasionally.
Thank you so much for the in-depth info on the silicone pads...I'll buy a pair for sure now. Have spent a little too much lately but I really did need some new shoes for work and of course found some terriffic deals while I was shoe shopping too. oops! It is nice to have more long-sleeved warm tops! Now I'm dreaming of some battery-operated heated slippers. Are your feet permenently cold now? Mine only get warm right before I go to bed and then they're uncomfortably warm. Weird.
The sun is finally shining so I'd better change clothes and get out to the garden. I MUST get that planting done today, am sick and tired of it being at the top of my to-do list!

Hi, Molly... Perhaps you dodged the bullet as a kid... so sorry that the same can't be said for your mom and dad... and other friends and family. Truly sorry, Sweetie.
I remember the index-to-index scene from ET with Elliot; not Vulcans. I'm sure that your dad is correct. I just don't remember that part of Star Trek. We have Sci-Fi Fridays here ... for years... with TV, snacks, and beer for DH. I usually escape to do something else. I do enjoy some of the shows with him, but as you implied a fan can watch FOREVER!
I am very pleased with the silicone pads so thanks for the Wal-mart update! You'll be very happy with the results. About footwear... When I bought new sneakers, I was able to fit into a size 7 1/2 instead of the standard size 9 that I'd worn through my obese years... edema! I am all about slippers! Silly, but I love mine and wear them as much as possible. Just basic pink, but very comfy. Heated ones sound nice... hope you get them soon, as it is chilling down outside. My body gets cold most of the day and night. I am still wearing the polar fleece hat and gloves at night. I wear a fuzzy, chenille like pair of socks to bed also. To help with the coldness, I've purchased 2 sets of tech silk weight, 100% Acclimate Dry Polyester "base layers" from PolarMax. Tops and bottoms sell for about $18 each. Basically, a light weight "thermal" product that really helps keep me warm. I purchased mine at a local outdoors store. The company's website is www.polarmax.com
Hope that the planting is in "Done"! Has your state had any problems with bee colony deaths? I know that you love your flowers and veggies so this could be a major problem in the near future. Actually, the problem is already global. Hope that our country and food industry wake-up on this matter before it is too late.

Ro:
I think you should have a post of the day.....I am amazed at what comes out from your fingers....once again, it is as though I typed it myself! Everything from sagging boobs (at 31, I am dealing, but have my eyes set on a boob lift & arm lift at some point in the future) to undergarments, Vulcan sex, and sleeping in polar hats!!!!
When I was shedding pounds last year, I shook so badly that my teeth chattered. Luckily, my best friend who is also post op advised that I get an electric blanket, and I pre heat that baby before I hop in at night, and I am good to go. That, and I have a boyfriend whose temp runs at 500 degrees, so I am happy as a lark!
I am just not worried about the boobs at the moment, they still look decent in a bra (I am on my 4th bra size since surgery, thank you very much), and my bf could care less, so i guess at the moment, I am more concerned about goal weight....which is 5 lbs away (I'm riding 163 at the moment!).....and seems to be taking ages to get to!
BTW: Found some very interesting links today you might enjoy, I was curious where I was as far as the national average, and from what I can tell, I am 4 inches taller and 1 pound lighter than the average American female.
I enjoyed reading this, thought you might as well:
Average size of a US adult female:

Take care all, and Ro, please keep on posting!!! I just love to read what you have to share....
Best,

Hi, Megan...Thanks for the links! The nih.gov link really has it's pulse on the increase of obese Americans and that report spanned to 2000. Hopefully, with greater awareness and increased WLS, the numbers of obese people will decline in the near future. The cdc.gov link seems realistic to me. BTW, with your height and goal weight you'll be a knock out. I'm a bit shorter and hoping that I will be satisfied with the 150 lb pre-PS goal set by my Nutritionist. WonderQuest's link made me "wonder" who would look healthy at the article's healthy range. Just goes to show you how many different opinions are out there, regarding weight and food issues. No wonder we are searching for accurate info all of the time.
Thanks so much for the compliment. I enjoy our MB so much and find that the info shared just keeps getting better and better. I noticed that one many earlier year MBs that the members stop posting. Hope that that doesn't happen here.
I'm in the market for an electric blanket now that you gave me the great tip! Thanx.
Megan...You are SO close to goal now!!! I'll be looking for the "announcement"!!!
