What did ya eat and how did ya move today? - Wednesday
Oh dear, now I am worried about Shawn. Hope she checks in before Friday.
Short day at work today so I shopped and got new clothes...woohoo! Spent a gift card my mom had given me to Christopher and Banks and they'd just marked down a bunch of clothes so I had fun. Got a sweater, a (woohoo) dress and two mock-necks. Then my shopping/walking continued at Worldmarket where I found some nice sugar-free (Splenda!) instant chai. Came home and have been on my feet all day cooking for a potluck tomorrow and helping DH get ready for the BIG job interview tomorrow morning. This is my first break sitting down but it won't last...I have ironing to do before bed. Eats have been weird but not too bad. Carbs too high as always.
1) 100 cal balance bar
--nf, sf soy latte
2) homemade brown sugar/cinnamon protein bar (I managed to reduce the carbs in the recipe!)
3) 2 servings PK's protein pumpkin pies
4) eggbeaters cheese/chive and veggie scramble (2 serve egg beaters), 1 almond protein biscotti
5) 2 turkey/cheese rollups, 1/2 cup strawberry cereal dry, 1 froz fruit bar
6) 1 mini bag popcorn
7) 1/3 cup nsa ice cream
calories: 972, carbs: 114, fats: 23, protein: 83
My new morning routine seems to be working pretty well so far...I have some kind of protein bar or supplement before work and then on the way to work I have a soy latte. In the four hours between that and first break I snack on PK's pumpkin pies cut into little wedges or have a homemade protein bar in little bites and then I don't need to eat as much at breaktime for the actual 'breakfast'.
Tomorrow I am bringing German Goulash to the potluck but doubt I'll eat it...it is beef after all. Also made up two batches of turkey/cheese rollups so I could have that. Have you tried the whole wheat/soy tortillas? Got some to try and it was so nice being able to have something 'bready' after all this time. I made up some of the rollups in a half of the tortilla to see if it will go down ok.
Crossing fingers for DH tomorrow...
Oh Molly you will have to let us know how it went today for DH! I am keeping my fingers crossed also!
Ok can you share the lower carb version of that protein bar you mentioned? I bought some soy flour and it is a lot lower carb and higher protein than regular flour and was thinking I might be able to use some in place of some oats but then it might get too "bready" hmmm
Congrats on the Splenda Chia, that is great! Also on the new clothes.. I am gonna be daring and stop at Target today and see if I can squeeze into a 6, prolli not but I do like to see if I can try for the smaller size from time to time.. keeps me motivated. The scale is still creeping down even during the time I normally lose (my monthly) as long as it keeps creeping I guess.. wow I feel like I am being tortured.. call me inpatient but wow.. lol. I was so spoiled up till now with the weight loss I am afraid.
Anyway, let us know how DH does.. I will be waiting to hear!

If praying really, really hard and sincerely helps then I hope it went well because I had everybody I could praying for him today. He doesn't feel it went well...he's pretty critical of himself and he gets really nervous and tongue-tied in situations like this. It will probably take the committee at least a week to come to a decision. I'll be sure to let you know if it is good news.
Did you have a good shopping trip today? From your photos you look like you'll rock the size six racks. You know how they range though, don't let some of them get you down if they don't fit. I still fit into certain xl's but mostly sixes.
BTW...my SIL withdrew the Thanksgiving offer in favor of going to her cabin so now I'm back to cooking here I think. Hmm...

Thanks for the compliment Molly. I got into many 5/6's that fit with a bit of spare room and ended up getting a stretch brand of Hipster (runs big yes) in a size THREE/FOUR! I am just amazed. One brand I loved but the 6's were too big and they uhm didn't have 4's.. what? Me.. used to be I was scared I would find a size big enough now I am gonna have the other problem, the don't make them small enough? OMG I cannot wrap my head around this. Amazing...
