even the worst stalls can be broken, baby:)
132, BMI 22.7 as of 1 minute ago--down 3lbs from yesterday. no, i'm not hallucinating, i stepped off the scle and got back on 3 times just to be sure.
here's the weird kicker:
1 only did one 2.9 mile doggie walk yesterday, had a cappucino then had a leisurly lunch out loaded with stuff i normally avoid (nothing horrible, but 1/2 entree of shrimp stir-fries in mango sauce with some steamed rice at a Thai restaurant, then half of a small dark chocolate shorbet at an ice-cream place).
later i wasn't feeling well for some reason, had an apple and went to sleep really early and, thus, skipped dinner.
just woke up, got on the scale and here it is--132--only 7 more lbs. to the century club!!!
Natalie:
Yes, they can be!!!! I have been the same weight for 7 weeks, and finally weighed in every Monday as I do today, and I was down 4lbs!!! Couldn't believe my eyes, this is a great change...I am thrilled. NO changes in diet or exercise, just my body holding onto the fat for a bit, I suppose...
Congrats!
Megan
Congratulations, Natalie! Stalls and plateaus were always a big worry for me and somehow I got lucky and didn't have any but I have always been so impressed by those of us here like you who have had to deal with them and end up so successful! You kept up your program and didn't lose faith and now you won!

A 7 lb loss is KILLER, great job Natalie! Isn't it weird how our bodies decide how and when it will drop the weight! I have noticed a strange thing though lately. With the cals I eat.. 1000 (doc's guidelines) if I *Don't* exercise, I lose more and if I *DO* exercise the scale seems to be stagnant. Makes me thing I am not getting enough cals, which a friend of mine (Terri R) on the RNY board says if you are gonna work out you need more cals. I see you get in 1200ish a day and that makes me think I need to up mine again although I am not supposed to till one year out. I have noticed most of the girls on here do eat a lot less but as I have told you in a PM before, I just cannot do that, I get physically hungry when I do and feel sick and light headed. No joke. I remember being 3 months out and overjoyed when I had no appetite, argh.. what happened to that! Oh well, we are doing so great and I am so dang proud of you with your weight loss this week.. Goal will happen for both us soon I hope! *hugs*
I think I agree with Terri R on this. Now, mind you, she is a serious bodybuilder and can eat like 3000 cal a day and still look great in a miniskrirt but the same probably applies to us to some extent. plus, we are young and our metabolism probably requires more than 1000cal/day.
You may want to try increasing calories to 1200 or 1300 a day for a week and see what happens.
