What did you Eat and how Did you Move? Tuesday
Busy time of the month for me -this is the week where we report on last months financials.......so i HAVE to keep in check :
B: Protein Bar
L: Quiche (Melissa's mini)
S: Yogurt (ccontrol)
D: Salad 2 Tbsp Ken's Lowfat Italian
2oz LF Ham
2oz Cheese
S: CC Yogurt
2oz LF ham
1oz Cheese (big snack but i was low on my protein & calories)
Cal 805 Fat 41 Carbs 22 Protein 78
As you may or may not have seen in all of my furried posts-- I did not "move" Saturday, Sunday or Monday. So Tuesday night I did 3 miles both hilly and speed intervals in 45 minutes......oddly enough my body was happy to be back on track...
What did you guys eat and how did you move??????
Resident hog checking in! I eat so much more than you little ladies it isn't even funny!
B: 3/4 cup Kashi go Lean with 2 oz vanilla soy milk (light).
L: 4 oz grilled cajun spiced salmon with 1/2 cup steamed veggies
D: 4 oz grilled chicken breast with a few bites of side salad that had tomatoes and cheese on it with light ranch dressing (1 tbsp).
S: mini bag of of popcorn, 1/2 ounce of nuts.
S: EAS cafe caramel protein shake.
Cals: 1014, carbs: 63 fiber: 15 plus 4 I took as a supplement, fats: 40 (way too high at least it came from fish and nuts mostly!) and protein: 107. I am trying hard to keep these numbers in check but I feel I am doing as good as I can for being out of my element. Trying really hard...
Ran 1 mile and walked lots with shopping today also did lower body resistance floor exercises about 50 ab crunches and 8 lb weights for upper body.
Dawn, your numbers and exercising were excellent today! Good for you!!!
Melissa, I out-hogged you by far today! I think this sets a new record high for calories for me today. There was too much time inbetween coats of paint ad not enough moving. Here are all the ugly facts:
1) light n fit yogurt, 1/2 cup special k protein plus cereal
2) 2 cups soymilk and coffee then 1 almond biscotti protein bar
3) 1 cup marinated cucumbers
4) 1 serving Melissa's sf apple crisp
5) 5 tablespoons roasted soynuts
6) another serving Melissa's sf apple crisp
7) 2 oz. 2% cheese, 1/2 cup egg substitute, 4 mushrooms
8) tropical fruit and nut protein bar
calories....(drumroll please) 1451, carbs: (ditto) 154, fats: 45, protein: 85
Strangely enough these numbers are all well within what Sparkpeople says I should be eating daily anyway but I know that I'll get on the scale tomorrow and have a big ol gain from it. (not to mention the fact that i put too much salt on the eggs and will be retaining fluids too)
Molly, who will be working tomorrow and eating MUCH BETTER!
Nice to see you, Melissa! Sounds like you are doing great!
Hi - I often read these posts, but don't contribute...but here I am!
b: dannon light & fit with blueberries and 1/4 c of Kashi
l: Lean cuisine frozen lunch - ate it way too fast and felt horrible after. I eat it fairly often, so I think it was s the speed
d: lean sausage with peas
s: not sure yet.
Can someone share the recipie for SF apple crisp? thanks!
Hi Becky! Nice to see you posting...sorry the Lean Cuisine made you feel bad. Isn't it interesting how sometimes things that don't usually bother us can make us feel badly?
Here's a link to Melissa's SF apple crisp. It is really yummy! I make mine with a little less splenda and also add 2 cups of raw cranberries to it for some zing. And I leave the nuts off to help the calories.

Hi, Guys! Hope everyone is having Good week, especially in the KC area.
BIG NEWS!!!! See Leatha's response on the Tues. Weigh-in thread!!!
Dawn...Where did you hide the body of the Carb Monster? You Rock!
Melissa...I eat mixed nuts almost everyday, since I heard that a journal (Neurology?) mentioned that some RNY patients were found to be deficient in copper. In my July Labs, I was mid-normal range on about 1/4 oz daily. How's it going, KC Lady?
Molly...Today is the day to compute the weekly average because your average will put a smile back on your face! How's the FBI? Your sister is sooooo lucky... Yummo!
My appointment went well yesterday. Yes, the Drs did lower my "goal"; 150 +/- a few lbs instead of 160. I weighed 163 and 163.5 at the appointments; a 27 lb loss over 3 months. I was so surprised when the PA said 27. I said, "27 what?" LOL
My nutritionist is upping my calories toward the 1000 calories level gradually, as I head toward 150#. Maintenance should be around 1100 calories or a bit higher thereafter. I've continued drinking 1/2 oz of Prostat-64 at breakfast and 1/2 oz at lunch for the past few months. My nutritionist OK'd my idea to keep 1 oz Prostat-64 daily; the 1 oz has 60 calories...15 proteins and gives me peace of mind on low protein days.
