Hi Everybody! Sorry this is so late for those of you on the right coast but it has been a busy, busy day here for me. I worked this morning and then came home and dug right into the big painting project. I am about 45 minutes away from beginning the next coat of paint. My moves today have been four hours of work and then PAINTING! I'm getting so sore already but have to get the painting done. Have tried hard to keep the carbs a little more under control today and did so-so. Have my 'dinner' planned but haven't eaten it yet. Here it all is: --sf, nf latte w/1 cup soymilk 1) 1 small banana (no dumping this time, yeah!) 2) 1 Atkins protein bar 3) half a piece of homemade frittatta, 1/2 cup ff cottage cheese 4) 1 cup homemade turkey chili 5) the bad stuff: 1 sf fudesicle, 1/3 cup nsa ice cream and 1 tab. nsa ice cream sauce 6) going to have 2 servings egg substitute, 1 cup marinated cucumbers calories: 974, carbs: 105 (still high), fats: 26, protein: 84 As usual the carbs should be better but the rest of the numbers aren't bad. How did everybody else do??? I have tomorrow off from work (WOOHOO!!!) and will be painting again. Molly

I feel that I did a good job pre-planning my lunch because we went to a Fall Festival. I was O****il the aroma**** me. Luckily, I packed an Atkins Peanut Butter Crisp bar and carried a SF Wyler's lemonade. I also brought some Creamy Ranch soy crisps in the car, which DH & I had as a snack. My exercise was slow walking for about 45 minutes; about 120-130 calories burned. Here's my day: B: yogurt w/ 1/2 oz Bear Naked Granola, 1/3 banana, 1/4 oz nuts, 1/4 Atkins bar L: Atkins bar, 3/4 serving of Ranch soy crisps D: SW bean & cream cheese "soup" (added 4 oz LF chicken broth), 2 oz ham, 2 oz yams, small spring mix salad with Wishbone Asian spray Today's Cals: 764 Fat: 24 Carb: 83 Protein: 59 Molly, Enjoy tomorrow "OFF"!! I tried to find the calories burned for painting, but couldn't locate a calorie calculator that had it listed. I think that Dawn mentioned a good site, but I can't recall it now. Ro

You did great for being at a Fall Festival. Smart thinking ahead to have something legal to eat. Today was a day off but it wasn't a day resting, for sure! But the hardest day at home is better than a day at work anytime. Made good progress on Sam's new room although he isn't turning out happy with his color choices. (tough luck!) I'd better get off the computer and get my meals for tomorrow all packed. Going to be a long day! Hope you have a good one. Molly

For4 hours of straight house painting --my source says that you burned 1,200 calories! the site is http://www.healthstatus.com/problem.html--good work Molly plus you see the fruits of your labor as well! I had a non-moving day and a bit of a graze fest...had company over so i licked bowls and spoons and such when i was doing dishes...plus i popped a few ruffled chips into my mouth.....yucky...but today is a new day ...I did not have any home made carrot cake that my DH made...the icing was calling my name...nor did i have any of the fried oreos that he made....just a bunch of BLT's (bites, licks and tastes) of tater salad, chips and such........could have been better but could have been worse..... have fun today! dawn

Thank you, Dawn! Thinking of those calories kept me going all day long today when I wanted to quit. I just kept thinking of the Tuesday weigh-in and wanted to keep burning as many calories as possible. I may regret it when I have to get up for work in the night but it was so helpful at making good progress on this painting job. Dawn, can you work in any time to make yourself some freeze-able treats so that when you have company you will have some safe foods to join in the fun and not have to eat when they are eating? Seems like you need to have some last-minute foods on hand for socializing to help prevent the blt's in the future. You are doing so great at keeping on making progress losing...don't let lack of time become a problem. Yikes...fried oreos? I've never even heard of that. It must smell horribly wonderful! LOL You did great with just your little samples, I'm very proud of you!! Molly

I am going to have to think of something for the Thanksgiving holiday....I have been wanting to try your pumpkin bars ...i printed the recipe for my DH to make......you are right lack of time should not be an excuse and probably is one of the worst demons around. Think of fast food and how detrimental it is to a healthy lifestyle. Incidentally, Fried Oreos are not well known but they are fantastic......they are dipped in pancake batter and deep fried. this is probably why San Antonio is one of the fattest cities in the nation! sigh....... Hope that you are not aching too bad from all the painting ---I will be Moving and Grooving today ---I have to it is "not negotiable" (that is my mantra) Have a Great day Molly!
