Trip to the ER

First I want to thank everyone for their support and responses to my ultrasound update. I would have loved having twins, but I do believe one is best for me/us. I would have responded individually, but yesterday was a bit exhausting. Shortly after everyone got up...we were all downstairs doing our thing...all of a sudden I hear thumping down the stairs which I though my youngest had thrown something like he usually does. But during, I heard grunting, so I knew it was him falling. Apparently when he was on the second step, he lost his footing and came tumbling down. He came hard, and came fast and slammed into the closet door on the bottom, hitting his head. Immediately I checked on him and he kept saying he was ok, but I HAD to take him to the ER to find out for sure. We got to the ER quickly and because I was walking so fast and was worried, I failed to see the 2 inch raise in the concrete on the sidewalk and I ended up taking a dive onto the cement. I mostly ended up on my hands and knees...but I kind of went sliding, so I did land on my tummy too. *sigh* So now we BOTH need to be seen. I was fine, my knee hurt ALOT and my hand a little, my main concern was baby. They were checking for fetal heart tones and the tech that was doing it had such a hard time. Of course by now I'm freaking out because I had mentioned to my husband that I haven't felt the baby move since the ultrasound was done...and now she couldn't find a heart beat. After about 15-20 minutes she went and got someone else. Thank GOD this woman found it within a few minutes or I would have had a breakdown right there. Meanwhile, they took my youngest down for xrays...Erik went with him. I was done being examined and released before they got back so I waited in his room. Security came and took an accident report on me and I joked with him about our family being accident prone. Then Erik and Sammy came back and told me that while in xray, they put Sammy on a stool with wheels, asked him to lean his back against the wall for the xray and the stool went sailing out from underneath him and he fell onto the floor butt first. I just looked at the security guard and said, "See, I told you." Anyway, everyone is fine, just banged up and sore. I had a hard time sleeping last night because of my knee. Who would have thought it could hurt THAT bad without being broken???? We spent the rest of the day resting, and I plan on doing the same today. By the way, we're both wrapped in bubble wrap and not allowed to use the stairs without supervision. (I almost fell from the same step yesterday) I hope everyone had a great weekend!! Mine HAS to get better, no?? LOL!
