What did ya eat today and how did ya move? - Saturday
Hi Gang! Happy Weekend to all of you! Looks like it will be pretty here, hope it will be where you are also so you can get out and enjoy it! I am gonna post today but then I will be gone next week, going KC to visit my family again. I will check in when I can. Hope you have a great week and I will miss all of you! I am bringing all my staples with me as always.
B: 2 of PK's pumpkin pie muffins with light whipping cream.
L: My Wrap - 3 oz of meat, light laughing cow cheese, on a LaTorilla tortilla (50 cals) and some romaine, red onion, vinegar and greek seasoning with a baby pickle on the side.
S: Cafe Caramel Shake on the way to work.
D #1: 4 oz of grilled tomato basil chicken breast with some steamed mixed vegtables.
D#2: leftover mexican stew that I made the other day (gotta eat it up before we leave!)
Cals: 884, fats 30, carbs 57, protein 111 (a bit high as always)
Yesterday b/c I was so upset about the cupcake incident I ran 4 miles straight. Of course my legs kill today. I don't think I am gonna exercise today. I am gonna take today off esp since I will be on my legs all night. So I won't get any formal exercise the next 3 days as Monday I will be shot and we will be traveling on me having no sleep but I will wake up Tuesday at my families and do my normal exercise. I decided also that I am not taking the scale with me this time. I put my ring back in this week and I always have a bit of a gain plus I am doing circuit training and the scale will most likely go up and don't want to deal with that on vacation. So kids.. no weigh in for me Tuesday, hope you understand. I am taking next week off but will be very good about my eats and my exercise, ya got my word.
So how did you today?
Hi Melissa,
We will miss you and hope that you have time to check in often. Hope it will be a better trip this time.
I'm having a terrible time getting into a good 'groove' this fall. In summer it is so easy starting my workday with the blenderized protein shake with lots of ice. But now, I am constantly cold so that is too hard to face in the morning. I've tried protein cocoa, decaf homemade soy lattes and just can't find a routine that fits well yet. My real problem is when I get home...I have used up too many calories and carbs early in the day and then when the evening food gets added in the carbs are horribly high. That's where I am again today:
1) homemade sf, nf caramel macchiato
2) 1 serv. PK's protein pumpkin muffins
3) 2 turkey pepper sticks, 1 cup marinated cukes, 1 small serving Melissa's Apple Crisp (made with cranberries too...really good!)
4) 1/3 cup craisins (bad snack!)
5) 10 Asia Rice crackers, 1 oz. 2% cheese
6) sf fudgesicle
calories: 835, carbs: 132 (see?!), fats: 23, protein: 34
The way the numers sit now I really need to drink an EAS I think. That is probably about all that is safe now. Sheesh...weekends are hard. Hope that you all are doing better than me. I didn't exercise either, just what I did at work for four hours and then on my feet all day at home working around the house (not aerobic).

Hi, Melissa! Keep up the good work in KC and have a lot of fun! Glad to hear that the cupcake crisis didn't do you in for long. It would have been much worse with the icing...lucky you. I am just getting back into walking. I never should have stopped. I don't even have a lame excuse. LOL
My eats were good today and so was my weekly average. Over the past few weeks, I lowered my intake of Prostat-64 to only 1 oz (which adds 60 calories and 15 protein), as I've handled meats much better. Glad to be able to enjoy my meals more now.
B: yogurt w/ 1/2 oz Bear Naked Granola, 1/3 banana, 1/4 oz nuts, 1/2 Atkins bar
L: 2 oz chicken thigh, 1 oz brown rice, 2 oz bean & cream cheese salsa sauce
D: same as lunch & 1/2 oz Baked Cheetos
S: 1/4 oz Cream Ranch Soy Crisps
Today's Cals: 847 Fat: 22 Carb: 97 Protein: 65
Wk's Average: 800 Fat: 24 Carb: 88 Protein: 64
See ya soon! Ro

Hey, Melissa... After reading Molly's info above, I remembered about your last visit. Do you have a "plan" in case you face more comments? I don't remember all of the details, but thought that Granny gave you a hard time. Right? May I suggest the following comments:
1) I remember that you said something like that the last time that I visited, I was upset for a few days after that. Could we talk about something else this time?
2) Yes, I feel great. What happened at your last Dr's appointment? Are you getting any relief with the pain in your (fingers, back, neck...etc..)
3) Yes, I do feel a bit tired. The one thing that really helps is a nice long walk. Maybe I should get one in now before it gets much later.
4) What have you done with my Grandmother? LOL
5) You really can't help yourself, can you? *My Favorite, but usually only thought*
6) Give your Grandma a hug or two, after she zings you and say, "Aw...I still love you!"
Disclaimer: As I have no relationship with my family of origin, take my advice lightly.
Love ya! Ro
Hi Ro, thanks so much for the support! I really don't have a "plan of action" other than not letting others defeat me by saying things to me. I am very happy with the way I look and FEEL and I shouldn't let anyone bring me down. I know my mom is "worried" b/c she loves me and that is different and makes it harder. But I plan to just take it minute by minute, day by day (deep breaths) lol. This was definently the part of wls I was not prepared for. Its the hardest part of it I think. I will see Grandma but only when the entire immediate family is present for lunch someday is what i said, no small thing like just me and mom and her.. no way no how. I hope it works out. I really do. I am thinking positive and hoping it will! I will let you guys know how it goes when I return and do know I will be thinking of all of you, missing you and popping in when I can. Good luck to all on Tuesdays weigh-in even though I won't be participating I will be anxious to see how everyone else is doing! Have a great week!
all you can do when met with adversity in this instance is SMILE and NOD...If they dont get a reaction out of you....game over.......that is what i do about everything!
Have a great trip and remember we are all here for you...behind you supporting you whoo hoo!
we dont need no stinkin neigh sayers
