9 Month Check Up Today!
Glad to see that everythin went well with your 9th month check up.
In reference to you comment about eating pretty normal and not slowing down, I have to tell you that it's something that worries me a lot. I eat pretty normal, I do not chew slowly or anything like that. Am I doing something wrong? I also drink pretty fast too but I do not feel full, do not throw up or else. Is this ok?
I feel pretty normal when I eat, do you?
Beatriz
I wouldn't worry Beatriz, I am the same way. I have said since 3 months out.. if it wasn't for me getting full quicker (and not always everyday do I get that full feeling.. everyday is different. There for a while 5 bites made me full.. now sometimes my portions I put out done but I still stop there) I would never know I had the surgery. I have never thrown up, got the foamies really.. slight case after sushi but nothing significant. I drink fast too. I know how you feel. You are not alone.. see that is why I love this board... we are never alone in how we feel, rest assured. Just don't always eat till "full" then.. measure out what you think you should be eating and stop there.. that is what I do.. I am still pretty satisfied to my next meal. Of course I do chew gum like a mad woman - I have to do that. *hugs*
Melissa,
The reason I am on so many calories and protein is because I have a wound that is taking a long time to heal. I had my surgery 12-28-06, and about 3 weeks later I ended up in the hospital, and had to stay from Jan. to June of this year, before I was well enough to come home. I had to have a pic-line, feeding tube, and wound-vac, and a few operations. And now I am slowly recovering, and still use a wound-vac. Protein and calories are what I need the most now, so my skin and tissue will grow, It's a bummer, but I am glad that I am still here and on my way to healing. The WLS was a success, for a while but now I am wondering...... I should know more by monday.
