I was bored at work and found this recipe.... I am not usually one for PB b/c it gets high in cals rather quickly however I do miss choc/pb combinations and this bar sounds pretty good and not to high in cals once divided out. I may try to make it this week.. wanted to share with all of you! Ingredients: 1/2 cup (8 tbsp) Fat-free cream cheese 6 tbsp Reduced-Fat Natural Peanut Butter 4 scoops Chocolate Whey Protein (i used isopure) about 1/8 cup Eggbeaters Egg Substitute 1 packet Nestle Carnation Fat-free hot cocoa mix 1/2 cup raw oatmeal (regular, slow cooking) Splenda artificial sweetener (amt. depends on how sweet you want them) -Heat cream cheese and PB in the microwave until soft. Mix well -Add splenda until it's sweet -Add a little of the Eggbeaters -Add Protein and mix well. It will be hard to mix at first but will eventually mix in. -Add Nestle Hot-cocoa mix and mix well. If it needs to be wetter, add more of the Eggbeaters -When you get a nice, play-doh conssistancy, add oats and mix. -Lightly spray wax paper with cooking spray. -Place dough on wax paper and press out to desired thickness -Chill in refrigerator for a while -Cut into bars **Nutritional info (for the whole recipe. divide as you like): Calories- 1288 Fat- 36 g (8 g saturated) Carbs- 74 g (16 g fiber) Protein - 160 g The ratio comes out to be: Protein- 50% Carbs- 25% Fat- 25%

They must use a peanut butter that is pretty low in fat and whey powder low in fat though b/c 36 grams of fat for a whole pan.. hmmmmm

Hmm that person who made that recipe must have used isopure choc whey powder.. I would imagine any would work.. I have no idea where you get it either.. I am so helpful aren't I? Sorrrrry! lol..

I made my first batch of these.. they are chilling now in the fridge.. this will make a 1/2 of a 9 X13 pan. My fats are higher than hers.. I got 58 with my peanut butter and my protein powder.. 1239 cals, 63 carbs and 157 proteins. Double the recipe if you want to fill a 9 X 13 pan.

Ok LAST UPDATE! I have tried them.. very yummy.. almost fudge like consistency though.. chewy... you could actually cut this 1/4 and make little fudge pieces of it also.. yum!

Whole bunch of questions...So do you think this could pass for a good bypass holiday fudge recipe? Do you taste the peanut butter very much? Is it chocolatey enough or does it need cocoa powder? Would this satisfy a chocolate candy craving? And how many pieces did you divide your batch into? ...taking a breath now... Thank you so much for sharing this recipe with us! I have the Isopure Dutch Chocolate protein and ordered it from bariatriceating.com because it is cheaper (even with shipping!) than our local GNC who obviously also carries it. I'll substitute soynut butter for the PB because of migraines but of course it will affect the taste if your batch had a pronounced pb flavour. You rock, Melissa! Molly
