I know! It's really not a big thing, but it makes you think...how accurate is my count?
Truth be told...I actually "fudged" numbers one day...taking the lowest calories that were shown for the amount of foods. It did not take long for the reality to hit that that is how I would easily slip into eating MORE...and MORE. The body is the ultimate calorie counter. I have to be honest with myself to succeed.
I noticed the rounding-up after my "1 oz Saturday" and a few "samplings" of new (to me) products. Stop & Shop sells Nature's Pride soy crisps. I ate some BBQ and some Ranch crisps, which should have the same total, but added separately at .5 serving the fats and proteins were higher. I entered the products under BBQ and the correct amounts were entered for the snack. The favoring on the soy crisps were very similar to regular products so they were pretty good. I ate the soy alone, as I understand that it can conflict with other nutrient absorption. Is this correct?
I also tried 8...yes, count them...8 protein bars. I told you that I might have a "control" problem with the bars. Honestly, I only ate 1/16 of the bars. LOL So did DH! The rest are wrapped and in the fridge. We both loved the Atkins Adv. Caramel Double Chocolate Crunch. Our other favorites were the Morning crisps (choc. chip, peanut butter, and apple), which are sold in a combo box at BJ's. The 2 granolas were pretty good too. The brownies were OK, but would make me long for "real" brownie/chocolate. A no-no...
How did the biscotti taste? Great...I bet...Yummo! Ro
No report yet on the biscotti. I currently have three different batches of protein bars wrapped and frozen so I'm running out of room in the freezer. LOL But I think over the weekend I'll work on organizing the big outside freezer to fit them in safely (too many things that go in there get lost and I don't want to lose my protein!) so that I can try the biscotti.
It will be fun!
