Hi guys, ok ok I know I have been MIA on the boards lately, I am sorry. However, I have been up to my eyeballs in work, kids, husband, and stress......yes lots of that. So not alot of me time, which means visiting with you fine ladies . I am getting ready to start and this week and I have been somewhat hungry, I beefed up my protien yesterday and the urge to eat subsided somewhat. I have always worried about the fact that I can eat up to 8 oz. At about 3 mo I could do 6oz. I have talked to other people here and this past weekend in support group(last sat I went and it was nice to reconnect) Well this one lady that was about 6 mo before my surgery date, she said I never get hungry, I said "Never" she said never. So I thought about it and starting worrying that maybe my pouch was too big, that I might need a revision. The point is I found this website that put things into perspective for me. Some people's pouches are bigger and that is ok. I still have lost 103 lbs, and I'm sure will continue losing at my slow pace and that is ok too. I hope the information is helpful to you. Take care and once again sorry for not posting lately. Erin Here is the link: http://www.gastricbypassfamily.com/PouchRules.html

I got a copy of this from my nut. at our very first meeting. Isn't it interesting and encouraging? It should be read every few months for a refresher, don't you think? I try to do the water loading but not every day...that would take more discipline than what I've got. Hope that you will have more time for yourself, it is so easy to put ourselves last isn't it? Find a way to destress and if you learn the secret to it be sure to share it with the rest of us. LOL Molly

Thanks for sharing this Erin, I live by the rules to a "T" pretty much. I studied them hard prior to surgery and always refer back to them. I think if we follow these we cannot fail. That is my opinion of course. I too can eat more than many on here. I find if I wait 20 mins after a meal though I am not hungry any longer. But there are times I just eat till I feel that slight fullness/stretch of the pouch if you will. Those are the times I could go 4-5 hours till my next meal and I NEVER drink for 2 hours after meals.. really helps, I love water loading and do it religiously. Hugs!

Hi, Erin...Thanks for the post. I never heard abou****er loading before so I plan to ask my Nut next visit. Drinking more water at one time does seem to stop hunger. I also finally can eat some dense meats (first, of course) and feel better afterwards. Ro
