I think I am officially in shock....
So as you know I had to go jeans shopping today... I took in all size 10's into the dressing room.. they fit me but with room to spare.. I think to myself "surely I am not gonna fit into an 8." So I went and got a couple 8's and even a 7/8 thinking sure Melissa... whatever.. OMG I SO GOT INTO ALL OF THEM!!!! I cried in the dressing room b/c this is the size I never thought I would see.. a single digit. I wanted to get to a 12 when I had this surgery anything more would be an absolute bonus and an 8 would be uhm.. unthinkable but would be my DREAM size.. I am there.. omg.. omg.. I can't believe it and I just had to share this with all of you. I also got a size medium cable knit sweater with hood that zips up b/c I am always freezing. Size medium and its roomy! What? I could put on the small but it wouldn't allow me to layer much. I like to layer so I went with the medium. I am just amazed.. 2 pairs of 8 jeans.. and 1 pair of cargos size 7/8. Pinch me.. I gotta be dreaming. Thanks for letting me share!!! *hugs* Have a great rest of the week!
Melissa this is awesome!!!! You have worked so very, very hard to get into those size 8's...make sure to leave the tag hanging out so everybody can see.

When I got into 20s I told my husband if I die today bury me with the tag sticking out and HELLO that was a 20..if I ever was a 8 (which I won't) I would be shouting it from the rooftops. You are such a inspiration to me

Yeah Melissa...you know i love this board -- i love hearing about all of the VICTORIES because who else can TRULY understand what it feels like to be in a single digit clothes when coming from the upper 20's or 30's? There is no one on this earth (that i know) besides you guys who can fully understand and appreciate such things........and i can celebrate your victories just as easily as i can my own...it makes my day that you are in a single digit and i cannot wait for the day when i am there too.......

Thanks Dawn for all your kind words and sharing in my excitement. I love that I can come here and have others truly understand our ups and downs that we have. You are right those who have not had surgery cannot fully appreciate it. I am lucky I am married to a man who has had RNY and does understand those victories but even him being a man doesn't TRULY understand what the words "I am in a size 8" really means.. To have gone from a size 28 (tight/stretch) in jeans to just an 8 is so amazing to me. I only hope I can be successful enough never to get out of the single digits again. You will be there too and I cannot wait to celebrate with you when it happens. The tool sure is good to us when we are good to it. That is the one truth I have learned through this process if nothing else. Thanks again Dawn. *hugs*
