Hi All! I am sorry I am so late posting this today.. been really busy making some homeade protein bars that a friend gave me a recipe to. I can post the link to it if anyone is interested. They are pumpkin ones.. very dense and heavy though, not gonna lie. I have been full for hours on one.. here is what I ate today. B - 2 mini quiches using egg beaters. S - Latte using light vanilla soy milk and SF syrup, decaff. L - black bean soy burger taco salad. Chopped up the burger on top of romaine, onion, tbs of light sour cream and 2 tbsp of black bean salsa with 1 oz low fat mont jack cheese (my absolute favorite meal these days!) S - 1/2 ounce of nuts, 3 baby pickles. (shoulda skipped this snack honestly oh well) D - 2 oz pork chop, 5 brussel sprouts, 1/2 cup applesauce with splenda/cinnamon S - Protein bar and EAS shake. This is right at 1180 calories, 91 carbs (high for me but I was told I need to do this for proper brain function - not sure i will be able to keep this up.. makes me cringe), protein 108 (high), and 44 fats. I see these numbers I wanna freak yet I am scared of my loss lately.. when am I happy? lol... What did you eat today?

That friend would be MOLLY! I also post my eats on the eating disorder board as I have offered to help out over there.. so I basically copy and pasted this over here.. I am sorry it sounds so weird. Molly has already posted the link so I know you don't need that.. ugh forgive me. That's what I get for trying to save time by copying and pasting.

Ok...dumb question...what is the eating disorder board. I only know of this one and the main one. I am learning everyday Sooo do you like the way the bars taste and would you make them again? Diana (who just got home from getting her hair HIGHLIGHTED)...YEA!!!

Well there is a board, it isn't public honestly for those that are struggling with their eating everyday. I have been asked to go over there and tell them daily eats. Mainly you see people just not eating enough over there.. they have a fear of food. So I am trying to show them that I eat (boy do I eat as you girls know!) and still lose just fine. So far its slow to take off but I am trying to assist where I can. I loved the pumpkin bars.. they were awesome. Not overly sweet, very dense, chewy, heavy.. keeps you full a very long time. Also helps in the bathroom department! Lmao.. I love your new avatar! Looking sexy my friend!!! Yeah for you! It feels good to pamper ourselves sometimes and you certainly deserve it!!! *hugs*

Melissa, you silly! You are a busy gal here and it is so nice that you are nursing over on the other board. I enjoyed reading over there and will definitely post sometime when I feel the need. Am very proud of today! This has been an extremely long, challenging day and I have done AWESOME!!! It hasn't quite become a 24-hour day yet tho it feels like it. There will be a lot of food entries but that is because I've been awake and active so long. Didn't even get a nap today...even tho I tried. 1) 1/4 cup scrambled egg beaters, 2 strips turkey bacon, salsa 2) homemade protein bar (the larger size...whoa, full for hours!) 3) weird concoction of frozen leftovers: mashed cauliflower, mashed roast beef, 1 oz. ff ricotta, 2 tab. lf cornbread (getting rid of things from the freezer) 4) 1/2 cup premeasured strawberry cereal 5) real caffiene lite soy latte 6) pumpkin protein bar (smaller size) 7) 1 cup strawberries, 2 tab. sf cool whip (at work, again brought JUST for me by a coworker so I had to eat them) 8) 3 oz. chicken thigh, 1 tab. ff ranch dressing 9) sf hot cocoa mix w/Davinci sf peppermint syrup (OH MY!!!) Ta Da Totals: calories: 909, carbs: 105, fat: 15, protein: 83 Based on what that nutritionist posted to you I am not going to sweat the carbs whatsoever as long as they are around the 120 mark. You have no idea how much stress that took off of my mind! Great day, I just wish my mind would slow down so I could get the bod to bed!

I think we are obsesing too much over the carbs situation. We should be fine as long as those carbs are coming from good sources. We need to feed our bodies the right nutrients and we DO need some type of carbs of energy and nutrition. So far, I have given up "white carbs" and the only carbs I get in are from dairy products, protein bars and fruits/veggies so I am going to stop obsesing about it. The answer the nut gave you put me at easy with it so I hope everyone does the same. Here's what I had yesterday: B-Kashi cereal with yogurt, grapes S-protein bar L-cottage cheese with wasa cracker S1-sf nf capuccino S-string cheese roll up with 1 sl ham 100 cal bag of popcorn D-3 sls of fried cheese-used pam spray Have no idea of the total but I feel pretty good about it. Will keep better track today since weekends are dangerous and wanna be less than 200 lbs on tuesday. Take care, Beatriz PD: I hope no one gets upset with what I just said but I am just trying to help and make things easier for all us.

Definitely not upset, Beatriz. These are issues that we just have to work through and it is a good thing we spend time obsessing...I think it shows that we are taking this very seriously and are trying our hardest to make good choices. We don't want to fail and as diet-educated as most all of us are it certainly didn't help us before our surgeries, did it? We still need to keep counting those daily numbers, though. If we don't we'll find that our portions or how many times a day we eat those healthy carbs can creep up on us and then begin to cause us problems. Without my daily food journalling on sparkpeople I'd have no idea just exactly how many carbs i was taking in and could really get into trouble. Good luck with the weekend, I'm hoping there will be a lot of Onederland celebrating next Tuesday. Molly

Not upset at all Beatriz. I am just so darn carbophobic, it comes from being a diabetic preop and finding that high protein is the only way I ever lost weight in the past. Honestly the days I do higher on carbs... I am talking above 75, my body doesn't lose as well. So honestly I think I am still personally gonna keep the numbers a bit lower (i know I know..) like below 75 and then when I get to goal I am gonna bring that number up some.. this will also allow my calorie load to grow to 1200+. Just my thought process. I hope my body isn't 'stealing from my muscle and that is why I am still losing so fast but I also don't want to NOT get to goal by upping my carbs over 100 at this point.. im in a weird spot right now. Thanks though and I will try my darndest not to freak out as much as I never eat "bad" carbs and really shouldn't fret. I am noticing my weight fluctuating more up a pound or two down a pound or two.. then drop a couple pounds then back up again.. the closer I get to goal.. kinda frustrating but dealing with that as well. As for the onederland.. I will be doing the onederland prayer for you this weekend. Keep up the good work.
