Did You Treat Yourself When......?
Happy Friday to all! I know there are a number of us who are right on the cusp of hitting Onederland...I mean right there knocking on the door to 199 ........I wanted to know when others of you hit the big 199....did you buy yourself something special or do anything special for yourself?
Rebecca and i were talking about checking out the Tiffany's catalog- but then I actually found a great bracelet on the James Avery website (less expensive than Tiffany's) the charm i was looking at is a Hebrew symbol for Life. I thought that was kind of neat....every time i look at it i would remember what i did so that i could LIVE a longer and healthier life.......just something that I am kicking around.....
What did others of you do when you hit the 100's? or 100 lbs lost?
dawn
What a great idea, Dawn! This is a very special milestone to commemorate. I didn't do anything because we'd just had a death in our family (our cat of 16 years) and I was too brokenhearted to be excited about being in onederland. Along the way losing I'd go out and buy new clothes when I hit a milestone that meant something to me but maybe that was foolish since I can't wear any of those clothes now anyway. Jewelry is a nice idea, you'll always have it and a charm especially! Think of how meaninful it would be added to a bracelet or necklace each time.
I can't wait to see the celebrations starting here...it is going to be fun when we have so many to congratulate.

Hi Dawn,
Onederland happened on my birthday. So hubby told me to go shopping (mostly because all my clothes were hanging off me.. rofl). But I did, got myself two beautiful tops that were really expensive, that were TIGHT when I bought them so I could wear them in a couple of weeks, and still do.. even though now the one is just too large, and is going to a friend.
So, yup. Do something for yourself! Mark your milestone, sweetie.

Hi, Heather! Happy Birthday PLUS Onederland! Fantastic!
BTW, Love, Love, Love your kittens! You are one lucky lady.
Does Pearl have any "manly" knicknames? My DH named
our cat "Peach", but I usually call him "Petie". We've had him in a "lion cut"
for about 3 years, since he became Diabetic and needs 2 shots daily. It suits
him and the fur & allergy complaints are way down.
FYI: There is one grey tabby on Yahoo's images that is so upset with his lion cut.
P.S. The "smug" cat is precious. Hopefully, "you" named him. LOL Ro

DUH!!! Senior Moment... Check-out Google's images for the cat I mentioned. You'll be able to figure-out which one "HATES" his doo. For a really great example of a lion cut, go to www.thecatconnection.com/grooming/services.htm
"Peach" does not look "that" good, but we've tried to give him the closest to it...little chest hair "bib" and all. Ro
