A few days ago you all provided me with great ideas for a protein filled breakfast. However, this time I am looking for high protein/low carbs snacks. Any suggestions? I will taken them all. Beatriz

Chopped chicken or turkey, frozen in 2-4 ounce portions. Easy to thaw in the microwave and top with some sauce. A 3-ounce pouch of water-packed tuna with some salsa added after you open it. Fat free cottage cheese topped with a sprinkle of Mrs. Dash or a teaspoon of sugar free jam or jelly. Snacks I keep in the fridge...shelf-stable sugar free jello's and puddings. They won't go bad and chilling makes them taste better. Another favorite of mine is my marinated cucumbers. Peeled, seeded, chopped, salt and peppered, topped with a flavored mild vinegar. Blue Bunny brand frozen treats...my fav's are the fudgesicles and the 'Froz Fruit' line...best flavor for my taste buds is the strawberry. A big bar is 35 calories. Molly

Thanks Molly, I am going to try your suggestions, especially the cottage cheese with sf jello. I love the sf pudding and jello, use them as dessert everyday. Take care, Beatriz

Hi Beatriz! Some suggestions .... I like the South Beach 140 cal. Peanut Putter protein bars - lower carb, 10 protein, also portion controlled nuts, low fat cheese sticks, turkey jerky, oh - and a new snack - I found soy chips in the organic section of my grocery. They are low carb and really high in protein - and tasted really, really good! I am eating fruit, so I will have 3/4 apple with peanut butter - that is really good too. Hmmmm... I am making myself hungry.... Rebecca

Melissa, have you ever tried making your devilled eggs with half the yokes? I always throw away half the yokes from any batch of devilled eggs and replace it with ff ricotta or blenderized cottage cheese or silken tofu. A drop or two of yellow food coloring and all my usual flavorings and nobody can tell the difference. Makes a world of difference in the calorie count and cholesterol, though. Molly

I have tried mixing cottage cheese in place of mayo but never thought to take 1/2 the yolks out.. great idea!!! Thanks so much! I love that idea!
