Hello Everyone! Hope everyone had a good week this week! I had a good week for the most part other than some rough spots with food decisions and a couple days of too many calories but I am moving on from there! Things seem to be getting a bit better now. I hope anyways. Question of the week: Now that fall is approaching (my fav season of the year) do your food wants/desires change? I know preop we made more "comfort" foods. Some of these are pretty calorie loaded items.. so I won't be indulging in some of our old favorites this year but I plan to try some healthy alternatives like the veggie lasagna that Molly has made and continue you with my chili I make. I might also make a white chili also and a healthier version of beef stew. How about you? HW: 328 SW: 280 LW: 159.5 CW: 158 (I got down to 156.8 for a day but gained back up a bit, think I was dehydrated) So how did you do this week? Lets make this week a good week ok? Good choices and staying focused.. we can do it!!!

I don't really have any season related cravings, except for the good old weiner roast and smores. We have a fireplace and we used o roast marshmallows all the time, but we will definitely be cutting back on those. However, I was able to find SF marshmallows so I may treat myself occasionally. I did not eat very well this weekend, but I still had a decent loss. I am going to try really hard to get back on track this week. HW: 372 SW:349 LW:207 CW:203

Thanks both of you. I hope to be at 199 by next Tuesday, but this being PMS week, not sure it will happen. I don't usually lose this week.

Hi there The one thing that drives me nuts about this board.. is how much faster you guys are losing.. lol I think I am green with envy. lol (dont take that as a bad thing) I love my band.. I live like normal. No problems at all. No puking, sliming, or anything like that. I have had a few instances where the food gets stuck, but it goes away in less than 10 minutes normally. I am ahead of the curve for the year. Banded People should lose 1-2 lbs a week the first year. So I figure... 1 lbs is 52 in the first year. 2 lbs is 104. I am on pace to get close to the 104. I am hoping for 100 by 12/15 (surgiversary) I should be at 75 by Saturday this week. Gives me 14 weeks to lose 25 lbs.. and if I bust my ass and stop eating ice cream and carbs I will make it. I have a different approach to my band than other people. I like living my life as normal as possible. If I want Taco Bell, we eat at Taco Bell. If I want ice cream, we eat ice cream. I refuse to deny myself something. I would rather it take me 6 months longer than the rest of my "peers" (other banded people) to lose the weight and enjoy the journey than get there fast and hate every minute of it. :::hopping off the soapbox:::: lol I didnt get to 315 lbs in a year.. so if it takes me more than a year to get to normal, I am happy with that! Hope that wasn't too long of an answer.

Well to be able to lose like you are losing and eat how you want to eat, if it takes longer.. hey thats ok! I am glad you have found a way to incorporate your band into your lifestyle and stay successful all at the same time. That is awesome! I am very proud of your accomplisments and sounds like you are doing very very well! Do you still have to go in for fills? How does that work? I ask so many questions.. sorry! I will be back on later.. gotta hit the gym!

I dont mind questions. I do have to go for fills.. although once you hit your sweet spot you dont need them for awhile. I have had 5 fills so far..and going for number 6 Saturday.. they dont hurt. This one will probably be good for awhile.. maybe in December (before I have to start paying for them) I will get another. Get to the gym! I go 4 nights a week.. plus play hockey one night a week. The other two nights are school nites, no time for the gym.
