***Tuesday Weekly Weigh-In*** 8/28/07
Diana...if all that you are going through right now had happened one year ago, would you have lost 1 pound in a month? Wouldn't food have been a really big comforter and pal to you and more likely you'd finish out the month with a ten or more pound GAIN? (Shoot, I could gain ten pounds in a week sista!) I don't think the question is what are you doing wrong but what RIGHT things are you already doing that you can do more of or better so that the next month will also see at least another one pound loss. Life will get back to a normal pattern for you eventually and you'll pick up where you left off with your weight loss efforts. It feels so trite to say 'hang in there' when you are facing such challenges but that is all you can do. Keep posting here with us and vent if you need or ask for kicks in the butt if you need. We are here to help if we can.

My first relpy back was going to be it is not just this month it has been ALL SUMMER then I realized we found out about my mom the end of May and that is when my weight loss has REALLY slowed down. I do not want to use my mom as a excuse for my eating. I have 46 years of reasons on why I ate. I was given the chance to change my life and I am SO WORRIED I will go back to what I was and I so do not want that. I am going to a deep water excerse class 2 nights a week but I need to do more. I have NO TIME to go and at night I can not go for a walk when the kids are in bed as I would not do that. My husband gets back from China on Friday night and I can not wait. Thanks for the nice email. I soo love the Dec boards.
Melissa had some really good points for me to consider so I can not wait to post tomorrow night what I ate on Wed. I am just sooo addicted to watermelon it is not funny. (better watermelon then cookies)

This big loss is a fluke...I went 4 weeks fluctuating 1 or 2 pounds and then bam! got on this AM and was 221...go figure. I do not weigh daily because of the fluctuations that can drive me nutty but usually every Thursday. Odd thing is I felt like I was eating everything in sight! TOM was visiting last week and I get ravenous then. My exercise is still lacking a LOT! That treadmill just bores me to death and it is like 100 degrees outside! I wish fall and winter would get here already! Anyone have an eliptical and do you like it?
Support Groups: I usually go once a month to the local group supported by my surgeon. They are heald on Sat. which is usually not a problem but totally forgot about it last week...did not occur to me until long after the meeting was over!

answer to question: Wow great question for me because I do attend the one at my Bariatric center but after coming on here there has been a great calling for one here in our town, so you know me and my mouth LOL anyway I ahve started a group and I am very excited this Wed will be our first meeting. We have 15 members and it is growing. We will have recipe exchanges, cooking classes for low carb meals Much needed for me lol and guest speakers. It will be a chance to suport each other we are also going to start a web page. anyway just wanted to tell you, I am still doing the yo yo and it is my fault. I am in a runt!!! I need to get back on track hope all is well for you Kelly
