What did ya eat today - Wednesday
Hi December Gang! How has your Hump Day gone so far? Mine was going to be very productive but I got ****y and had a LICK (A LICK!) of tiramisu filling off a spatula after I had completed a tiramisu for a potluck at work tomorrow. I have suspected for a long time that I don't really dump from real sugars, only too much sugar alcohols and fats. (so, I thought this little amount would be safe and this was the very first time since Dec. 4th that I even dared to test.) Well, WRONG! Not only did the fat in that filling wallop me but the sugar got me too and there wasn't even a full tablespoon left on that spatula. I'm finally upright again two hours later but my innards are rumbling so bad that I don't think I dare go to my rose society meeting tonight. This dumping episode has been much worse than any others before. My daughter can even hear me rumbling from across the room. I love my RNY! This was the first and last lick for me. I've resisted it beautifully before and will be able to resist the rest from now on, I'm confident.
So on to the more successful eating today. I thought it would be nice to make myself face some fears and bought a tiny loaf of German pumpernickel bread since it doesn't have any wheat in it, only rye. It was good! And gave that 'I'm eating bread' sensation so I think I have a winner there.
1) frosty protein shake
2) 1/2 cup kashi go lean
3) 1 oz. slice pumpernickel (70 cal.), 2 oz. turkey lunch meat
* horrid lick of tiramisu filling
4) decaf tea
5) will have some turkey/cheese rollups for dinner if tummy allows
Haven't logged into sparkpeople yet because they don't have pumpernickel listed in their foods so I have to do it manually. No idea on the calorie count yet.
Molly...sorry to be so long winded! How did your day's eating go?

Hi, Molly... Sure hope that your feeling better soon, after the tiramisu upset! SparkPeople lists pumpernickel under "bread".
Bread, Pumpernickel: 70.9 cal, .9 fat, 13.5 carb, 2.5 pro.
I'll be going to my first big event this Sunday since I've lost 90+ #. It is our grandson's Dedication and I am so happy to be going! I am a little intimidated by having to eat in front of a large group, but already know that there will be foods served that I can eat easily. I plan to have a great time at this special service for our little guy. Ro
I had my days mixed-up so here my Wednesday info that I actually logged under Tuesday about 5 minutes ago. Duh! Good News: Lately meats have been a bit easier to tolerate, which is a plus for me!
B: oatmeal and some banana
L: beef barley soup (bowl) w/ 3 crackers
D: 4 small meatballs w/ sauce on 1/4 burrito-size flour tortilla, light caesar salad
S: yogurt...and SF Tropical ice pop
SparkPeople Totals: Cal: 846 Carb: 93 Fat: 24 Protein: 65 (w/ protein drinks)
Thank you, Ro! I went in to log it with the package and realized that I was wrong...it was called Black Rye bread an is 100 calories a slice, yikes! Guess I should have bought the other stuff. Well, it is still wheat free. Thank you for the help with it.
You ate great today! How do you do with soup now? I tried some for dinner and was hungry so soon after but luckily I was going to bed soon anyway.
How exciting to have your grandson's Dedication on Sunday! Have you already decided what to wear? You will undoubtedly be beaming with joy in all the photos and look radiant. Congratulations!
Molly

Hi, Molly...I can get through the day with soup for lunch, if it has a good amount of body...vegetables or barley. You're right, soups can leave me hungry later also. At dinner on thoses days, I usually am ready for a good meal.
I do have an outfit picked-out for the Dedication, but I may still go shopping! HeHeHe! Ro
Amy you ate great today! We have this Italian potluck at work tomorrow so I am going to try to keep my calories low in the morning and eat what I want from the 'buffet' at lunch and then a salad for dinner. (that is the plan anyway!) No pasta for me so it will be interesting to see what I can find to eat. I think one person is bringing a frittatta so that should be safe. I'll have NO trouble not eating the Tiramisu! LOL It was bound to happen sooner or later that I'd get ****y and eat something off limits. It wasn't really done as testing so much as just being 'bad'. I honestly didn't think it'd make me sick, what a nice surprise! The only bad thing is that it is making me miss a good meeting tonight. Oh well, I'm happier knowing that I really do dump from sugar.
Luckily birthday cake doesn't bother me, I baked a huge one for my boss over the weekend and then brought home two pieces for my guys. They inhaled it!

You guys will notice a trend the last 3 days about what i have been eating....BUT i was at 206 last week...And i thought darn it --i CAN get to 199.9 Onderland is a big milestone for me....the firs****ing size 18...(begins with a "1" instead of "2" or"3") now being in the 100's instead of the 200's.......i will have to come up with new goals once i hit 195...(100lbs lost).....but I am at 202 as of this morning. so only 3lbs to go!
I have been trying to make really REALLY good choices....ironically if i TRY i really can stick to my #'s! After all of this rambling:

S: Carb Control Yogurt with 1/4 c Kashi & 1 strawberry sliced (my new fav)
