What Did Ya Eat Today - Tuesday
Hey Molly! Thanks again for doing these daily posts! I am not able to be on much but trying top check in when I can.. today I ate a bit more than I should have and honestly kinda just did a running total in my head.
B: 2 oz ham, 1 egg
S: Iced SF vanilla latte using 4 oz of light vanilla soy milk, decaff.
L: Ate at Chipoltes (sigh, had no idea how many cals until I did some research online - they don't have nutritional content but I found another site that had it - the daily plate) I got black beans, held the rice, 2 oz or so of pork, onions and peppers, cheese and yes I did the sour cream. I was surprised I could finish 3/4 of the bowl (it wasn't the burrito with the flour tortilla, just the bowl) and I if my calculations are correct I ate 300ish if not more cals in this meal.. ACK!!!!
D: Went to Houligans with my husband's sister and brother-in-law. Ordered the chicken sandwich (grilled) prolli 4 oz, had a small amount of cheddar cheese and one slice of bacon (i know I know.. not good but go**** was the best thing on the menu and yes I coulda held off on the bacon/cheese but I just didn't) and then had 4 bites of asparagus on the side that was grilled.
S: Large (20 oz) Sugar free vanilla latte with skim milk, decaff.
S: 2 handfuls of light popcorn, 1 small handful of peanuts.
So as you can see not the best of days there.. sigh. Tomorrow we are having the family over for hour 'derves (spelling?) and wow.. nothing I can really eat other than the shrimp ****tail. So I will have a few of those. I did go to wild oats market today and got some fage yogurt (its good but didn't feel it was as cracked up to be good as everyone on OH makes it sound - I did add some SF french vanilla syrup and splenda and it helped it a bit) and will dip some fruit in this tomorrow and also made a Fat free veggie dip for vegtables.. so I hope this will help me stay on track tomorrow..
See ya guys tomorrow hopefully!
(I did walk/run 3 miles today so I do feel good about that but now have a huge blister on the back of my foot so will need to do something else tomorrow!)
Hey, that wasn't such a bad day Melissa! So the Fage didn't thrill you huh? I hate yogurt so it was really great to me since it isn't so tangy. But then I use it as a granola base and don't flavor it with anything but the granola so I'm not expecting it to compete with flavored yogurts like Dannon or others.

Dawn, that doesn't sound bad even with the Stove Top. I think I will really start missing bread around the holidays when there are all those ads for the turkey dinner and showing a big steaming pile of it. Ew...just typing that out doesn't exactly look as appetizing as I am picturing it. LOL Oops, guess i was substituting a word there, mentally. Sorry, not feeling well right now and obviously the thought process has suffered. LOL

oh Molly....i am sorry you are not feeling well....but you conveyed my thoughts about stuffing precisely.....you probably wont be SHOCKED to find out that on previous Thanksgivings i was the person who ONLY ate mashed potatoes and gravy......stuffing (and gravy) and pie.......i mean turkey is good and all...but didnt want to ruin my appetite for the stuffing and potatoes.......there is no wonder in my mind how i came to be obese......thankfully i am not that person anymore....BUT it will be hard......
BTW you talk about FAGE --can you tell me what that is........have a great day!
Dawn
Dawn, I'm sorry not to reply to your question sooner. Here is a link to their product info page on it: http://www.fageusa.com/0_yogurt_info.html
It is a greek-style yogurt that tastes so very different from what we get in the grocery store. I don't like yogurt at all and this is different enough that I can make myself eat it with only some cereal added for bulking it up and flavour. A lot of folks add sweetener and fruit to it to make it more like the yogurt products we all are familiar with.
If you read Melissa's posts when she was on her trip last week, she found some and wasn't thrilled with it so we all have differing opinions. A lot of people really love yogurt, I'm just not one of them. Fage is expensive here...$5.99 for a 17 oz. container and I have to get it at a store that is difficult to get to but worth it. Per my nut's instructions I'm doing less dairy these days and the Fage is a good way for me to get in some extra calcium.

Hi, All You December Babes! I'll be going to my first big event this Sunday since I've lost 90+ #. It is our grandson's Dedication and I am so happy to be going! I am a little intimidated by having to eat in front of a large group, but already know that there will be foods served that I can eat easily. I plan to have a great time at this special service for our little guy. Ro
