***Tuesday Weekly Weigh-In*** 8/21
Since Melissa is gone I'm going to get this started and hope she checks in. Plus, because she's gone it would be nice for our question of the week to see if we can think of anything new to help her (and each other!) while travelling.
Question: What sneaky strategies have you developed to stay successfully on program while away from home? My answer...when eating out with people who are really watching what I eat I have a dinner salad and keep busy dissecting it while everybody else is eating and then take a bit of two of lettuce to keep appearing to eat. Talk a lot and then when they are about half way done with their (ginormous) plates I start eating my protein. We all manage to finish at the same time and I haven't overeaten. Woohoo!

No change for me this week but it is really a 2# gain since I'd lost and gotten down to 136 (I think I even changed my ticker but don't have time to check it this a.m.). My PMS finally ended and now I'm up two. Hoping to keep on program faithfully this week and when my Aunt leaves I want that 2# gone!
Gotta get out the door, it is 4:20 already! ACK!!!!

Still the same for me this week, but I had a decent loss last week.
As for being away from home and eating, I don't really have a problem since everybody knows I have had the surgery. Most of my friends are very accommodating when we go to there house and now I have taken to carrying a protein bar in my purse so that helps as well.
This is my losing week....so i am happy to report i had a loss.....
I dont have any hints or sneaky strategies to stay successful while away from home-- i am one who needs advice on this matter. I am going to las vegas in 10 days and can use some advice.....last time i was in LV was February and i experienced the one and only dumping episode i ever have had in the middle of the MGM Grand...not a fun thing...i had to lay my head on a table at the starbucks while my DH applied bottled water to my head.......

Hey Molly! Can only be on here a sec, but thought I would be accountable! Don't shoot me people, I brought my scale with me! Husband was really thinking I needed some counseling when I did that! It is sooooo HOT here. Plus I put my ring back in this past Sunday (always = a gain).

I think this is temporary. But anyways.. I jogged/walked 3 miles in this heat this morning, I am really trying to keep my routine while I am away.. I bring a cooler with me and pack all my essentials, it really helps. Have a great week everyone!

the past 3 days has been rough for me as far as eating!! I just can't seem so shake those bad habits and it is gonna kill me and my weight loss. I know I constantly fuss about this but I am scared to death I need another habit ugggg.

My sneaky thing is when out with others and they are having appetizers I have water and then i stop drinking that about 5 minutes before my protein comes I know i should wait longer for that but that is the only bad thing i do with the fluids that close to eating time and only when i am out and it bothers me while around certain people..

Well I just finished up the end of the month. I hit under 180 this morning, I will make it to 160 slowly, but I will do it....my size 12's are getting a little loose.

If I get a plate, I cut the portion I am going to eat then ask for a take out box then box the rest up. Also I have a 11 and a2 yr old and I share with them alot!!! Saves on food costs. I don't eat out as much as I used to however.

I gained a whole pound, shame on me!. I will do better next week....I promised. I already made a promise to myself no to eat sf dulce de leche anymore until I reach 199. Punishment, punishment for bad behavior.
When eating out, I usually order an apettizer as a main meal and that keeps me happy. When on the go, I usually take protein bars and plenty of water with cristal light.

I'm trying not to be discouraged, I realized it's only 1 lb and I'm pregnant. I'm just hoping that I will at least maintain this weight for a good majority of my pregnancy. I'm actually noticing a change in my body shape. My fingers are getting smaller AGAIN...my rings are too big. My old engagement ring that finally fit me is now too loose. My pants and underwear are fitting smaller in the legs and butt, though my stomach seems to be holding on well. I guess I should get used to that, huh? And today when looking in the mirror, my face seemed a tad thinner. One can hope, right?
As far as traveling and trying to stay on program...I try to bring healthy snacks with me. Fruit, protein bars, shakes, etc. That way should I stray a bit, I still have the good stuff with me. It seems to work. We went away this weekend and I managed much better than the last time.
