What Did You Eat Today? - Tuesday
Better late than never? Hope we all had a good day today! I have a batch of zucchini/chicken sausage frittatta in the microwave right now. Looks like I'll be posting about eating pieces of that for a few days to come. haha After I grocery shop tomorrow I'll be making a batch of Melissa's mini crustless quiches too.
Today was pretty good. I still have a grazing habit in the evening but am planning on just eating mostly veggies and fruits so the numbers don't hurt me.
1: frosty protein shake
2: 1/2 cup Special K protein plus cereal
3: 1/2 cup Fage 0% yogurt and approx. 3 tab. low-sugar granola (bought the componants of this while I was at the specialty market picking up the Fage)
4: my Mock Elvis Snack---rice cake, soynut butter, banana
5: 1/2 cup ff cottage cheese, 1 cup watermelon
6: 2 cups marinated cucumbers, 1 cup watermelon, 1 oz. rice crackers (planned grazing)
7: 1/4 cup nsa ice cream, half banana
Haven't logged the last food but before that my totals were around 900 cal, 60-some carbs, fats were low (don't remember) and around 70 gr. prot. Sorry, I'm tired and this is from my already poor memory.

(Mexican Restaurant for dinner sigh...it is so hard)

So sad that i only had 2 meals and a small snack and still came in right under the wire on my totals....i am going to have to throw away the Wasa Crackers and never buy them again --i am addicted --i think it is just to Carbs in general......sigh

How many cals did your surgeon/nut tell you to eat. I am supposed to be getting in 1000 a day and no less. For the past 2 weeks I have eaten very close to this and I am down 7 lbs in two weeks.. believe it or not it helps to eat a bit more.. never thought I would say that. But it really does. Our bodies are starving on 600ish cals b/c we also malabsorb part of those the first 1 - 2 years.

My surgeon never EVER told me any numbers he told me to, and i quote "eat when you are hungry, stop when you are full" wth??? if i knew that i wouldnt be in this mess.....so i went to an affiliated bariatric specialist and she told me to eat 800cal with 35 fat, 40 carb & 80 protein........that is where i have been for the last 30 days and i have only lost 9lbs.....and in the last 2 weeks NONE......i get to see her tomorrow...i have journaled EVERYDAY and looked at the weight almost everyday so i want her to provide me with some answers........this has been a pattern for the last 8 months...2 weeks static and 2 weeks loss..........but i tend to agree with you about needing more calories...i will let you know what she says...... Part of me wonders since she has known me for so long if she did not tell me lower because in the past no matter what she told me i would go over.......who knows....i will update you tomorrow.............(part of it could be the exercise too --i am not doing it regularly still) whoops
