Is this happening to anyone else???
I noticed about 2-3 weeks ago, I started actually to feel full. Like to the point of "OMG, WTH stop before you pop".. and it's not always the same volume of food. So, guess the feeling is back in the pouch, finally. I've had it happen about 4 times (mostly when I was eating Chile Verde.. a favorite of mine, and probably had a few bites too many. *sheepish grin*)
I still don't get "hungry" per se. I just know when it's time to eat based on my schedule I set up.
Then again, I got put back on Protonix, because the pouch has been being an "ss about foods recently. Sometimes it's as I'm eating, other times within 30 minutes of eating.. just get a horrible ache. And it will last one or two meals, then it's gone. So, PA says to try the Protonix and reduce the stomach acids, and see if that helps. It does appear to be.
Whew I am so glad I am not alone on this you guys! Thank you! I love OH for this reason, I feel like sometimes I am the odd ball out, glad others are going through the same thing as me. I think PK thought i was nuts for being so late with this, she never understood why i never really felt this way.
Good luck with the protonix. I hope that helps you...
Hi Melissa! I know I am little late on this reply but wanted to let you know that I am feeling the same thing. Like it kicked "on" all of sudden. I noticed it last week when I did eat that one bite too many and had to throw up - I thought, hmm, that was weird - I havent thrown up in months! I thought I had weighed my foods incorrectly but now I notice it more and more. I have started to eat more slowly and then I can feel it coming on - at least kind of - I think... hee hee. I feel like I stay full for a longer period of time too - just thought I would share!
Congrat on hitting your doctors goal - you look fabulous !! And, even better, you always sound like you feel fabulous too!!
Rebecca
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks so much for replying to me. This is so weird, as long as I have been on OH I have never heard of it taking as LONG as 8 months for those nerves to waken back up but obviously for SOME of us that is the case. I am so glad I am not alone and that several of you have noticed this! I too have been needing to slow down a bit and feel whats going on. Thanks for taking the time to tell me!!!
